HTC 10 Users, are you happy?

Well what is the way of getting to the file manager?

Do you mean the HTC one you can get on Google Play?

Why did they remove it anyway?

No... u have to go to settings>>>storage and then select explore ... it's easier just to get one from the play store but there is a file manager native to the device

I love the phone. My only gripe is the battery life. It's not apple bad, but it does seem to lose a little too much for my taste.

I only browse the web (Dolphin) and listen to music through bluetooth.

For Example... This morning, off the charger 100%. I check my email and facebook for about 10 minutes and when done, I checked and was already at 97%. 10 minutes of what I consider light use should not use 3% of the battery.
Sorry for late reply but just saw this....I noticed this too on the one m8, but with one difference...my phone will also drain quickly from 100 percent but then it gets to about 80-85% then it will drain at a much slower rate....

But battery life is much better overall, right?
Cheers

I'm thinking about picking up an HTC 10 while the Note 7 recall settles down. I've seen the 10 gets good reviews and it seems like the consensus is that it is a very solid, yet underrated device. Does anyone have any feedback in terms of what you like, and not like about the HTC 10?
I've had the htc 10 since may, the camera was improved drastically and now it easily there best camera available in the market (didn't compare it yet to iphone 7 nor google pixel). Regarding the software htc is always the leader in Android, no freezing at all, the software stays for years the same (used htc since 2009). The build quality is unbelievable, I've dropped it several times from heights more than 1 meter, just few scratches. The reception is very good like any other telephone. The screen is very good, and you can make it your own switching from vivid to LCD, controlling the automatic brightness level also....... HTC 10 is the best phone available in the market, and it is not a short term comparison in specs, you should look at it after a while, always smooth operations, heavy duty, and a beautiful phone.

I've had my 10 for a good while now, and the only issues I really notice are camera related. The camera gets great shots, but I do get blurry shots at times, and low-light could be better.

Apart from that, I only notice shortcomings when I compare the phone to other flagships, screen differences, volume differences, and other things that are nonissues when I'm just using the phone. The 10 is an excellent phone.

Edit: added 'low-light' to my other camera issue. Spell check had me saying loyalty could be better.

Thanks!

So are files duplicated on my phone if I see files in Solid Explorer and also these native system folders?

I agree and I think it´s a much better phone in much if the areas I think are most important

The thing I don't like about htc 10 is there is no File Manager and Gallery + the front camera in snapchat is always blurred.

If I remember correctly, I found that the selfie camera was not set for maximum detail by default. 4:3 is the only setting that uses all 5 megs. Perhaps adjusting that setting will make your pics a little sharper.

It was said that it wasn't a camera issue but a snapchat issue that they recently corrected in a recent update

I'm actually pretty happy with this device after the HTC M9. I paid off my M9, got the 10 with 300.00 for a trade in. I love the changes they've made (except the HTC gallery and keyboard being removed but Quickpic and TouchPal are decent replacements). Way better camera and my battery life has been amazing. Other than the OG Evo, this might be my favorite device in years.

I love the HTC 10. Best Android I've owned. HTC web site always has a sale, so you save 100 bucks or so on the price.

I still love my M8. Is it really worth the upgrade?
YES!! I've owned almost every HTC Flagship including the M8. Its a big improvement on almost every level. I started on the original EVO. This is the best phone I've ever owned.

I've had an HTC 10 for about a week now, upgraded from a 6P. I thought it would kind of be a waste, like a side grade at most but it really is one of the best phones I've ever used. Probably the best bit is having a phone that fits great in my hand again! I can finally one-hand a phone after years.

Especially love the front fingerprint reader, I can't stand the rear one on the 6P. Also the physical nav keys mean I'm once again able to control which side of the screen the buttons are on (I'm a lefty).

Overall, at $699 it's pricey, at $549, it's a great phone.

Thanks for your answer. Did you came directly from it? Why do you think it's much better? I'm debating if I should upgrade cause I still love my M8.

Cheers

No real issues for me with the phone. Bought it as soon as it came out and dumped my SGS7 Edge.
The HTC 10 is still as responsive as the first day. The phone just works. No slow downs, no crashes, etc.
Finger print scanner is excellent as is the size of the device, for me at least.
I am averaging around 22 hours of battery time with 3.5 hours of SOT, which is fine with me.

I also had the M8 and that is a great phone too. The camera on the 10 is obviously head and shoulders about the M8.
