HTC Desire ROM

Put it in your xbin should have the instructions posted. And the first question is correct your going to have to cd to that location
Edit if your using the autorom then you should have that on your comp

wait what? Where's my xbin? Can I do it while in recovery? Because i'm at that step right now.

I'm not using the autorom. So i'm stuck.

Ok if your using the parted script you shouldn't have to place anything their the instructions don't mention it. But is it continues mount your system re then type adb push the name of the file /system/xbin

still lost. Sorry bizz. I just typed "adb push mk16sdpart.sh/system/xbin" and the adb script on the command window ran, but nothing happened with the phone.

also just ran "adb push/system/xbin/mk16sdpart.sh" and nothing happened again on the phone.

yup system and sdcard is mounted.

Should I place that mk16sdpart.sh somewhere in my C drive? Because I enter "C:\AndroidSDK\tools>/system/xbin/mk16sdpart.sh", and I get back:

"system cannot find the path specified".

If you simply can't get it in recovery their are two options Rom manager and terminal but is you pushed tthe parted to your xbin while mounted then ran the script again you should work. Stupid question but are you in an adb shell while doing this

Nothing. It's in my tools folder, and I am running >/system/xbin/mk16sdpart.sh, and still get the "cannot find the path specified". Idk whats up.

Haha this might be a stupid response, but what?

I am running in cmd.exe "C:\AndroidSDK\tools>" and then typing \system\xbin\mk...etc.

Ok your doing this with the system mounted. Theirs something wrong what does the cmd prompt have infront of what you type

Ok your phone is plugged into the computer with system mounted and all it won't find your phone try this move the unzipped drivers from your sdk to the download location unplug your phone and when you plug in let me know if your computer notifies you that something has been plugged in
