Yep that's all you need to do. Well yesterday they had a few issues pop up. Market broke and a few more bugs. At this point I don't know if the ril is done or not I think their just putting the finishing touches on it. I hope today but I doubt it only time will tell

so, initial testing of my 15 hours or so of busting my ass is showing this to be an excellent build, from one of my trusted testers.. hes saying this is the best desire port version to date, better and more stable than anything hes ever tried, and compared it to ese81 speed, and even faster boot time.
i did a lot, and i mean a lot of tweaking, fixing, etc.. and this is before being optimized.. so it looks like we're going to possibly move this up to pre-alpha stages now. a few more fixes, and we should be looking at a smooth, fast, fully functioning rom that you guys will enjoy better than the incredible.
my tester also, has never been able to run JIT on anything, and his phone handles this like a stock clocked vanilla.. so, just figured id give you guys an update.. also, we plan to keep this release updated along with any updates that com out for the actual desire.

Was never a big fan of Sense UI at first but its really starting t appeal to me. This ROM is starting to get me excited. Looking forward to seeing it in action.

Just out curiosity can HTC make them take it down due to it being somewhat of an indirect copy of there trademarked ui. This could potentially hurt their sales because Droid owners would be able to have the sense ui without buying their phones. I can't wait to get this on my phone but I just hope the creators aren't going to get sued because of it.

Ok, to clarify what the game plan is right now.
1st and foremost, dont ****in bug Jake for the RIL. it isnt going to happen, your not going to get it before we do. so stop asking him, or he'll stop working on it. its not done, and believe me, as soon as it is, it will be in our newest build

ok on to the actual news:
1st- the newest build is badass. like dominator speed and stability badass.
2nd-lwp is fixed again, we know the issue with usb mounting, and are testing a market fix. rom is now optimized.
3rd- you at this point are required to do the run the partition script after installing, while still in recovery(its built in now, just run the command)
4th-before you install this, you need to do a full adb wipe, if you dont know what adb is, or how to install it, for the love of god read the stickies, google it, or look up tutorials on youtube. its easy, doesnt take that long, and is beneficial to learn something, we will not hold your hand for elementary things

5th-we are hoping to move the next release to this weekend for two reasons. A. the RIL will be done by then, and B. we can work out all the bugs. this should end up being an alpha release
6th- i talked with greek last night/this morning, he tried the internal build, and loved it! hes doing good, his internet sucks where hes at right now, but if you get a chance, say hi, tell him to be safe over there, and wish him well.
7th- we're working hard on this, for free. please remember this before bugging us, or crying about the extended release date. im pretty friendly, as most of us are, but if we're busy, please understand that we have other matters, families, etc.
8th- if you like what we've done, and are doing feel free to donate. geektern needs, well idk, but im sure hed appreciate it. birdman needs sleeping pills(dude doesnt sleep, i swear), and a good way to show appreciation is to give us some inspiration. none of us are in this for the money(thatd be a bad business move, lol) but it is nice to buy a beer, etc. this is not a plea for your money either. this is simply stating, if you like our work, and are well off, feel free to throw us beer money. if you cant afford it, dont have paypal, or just dont want to, thats perfectly fine. nothing is better than a job well done.

hope this was a helpful update/public service announcement. we are working hard(bird and i have been up for at least 13 hours working on this) and are finishing up the last bit for you guys.. added bonus, im making a custom boot animation for this rom, with a really cool scene from an upcoming movie..

This is very exciting I can't wait to give it a try. I was just at my local Verizon store getting a replacement for my Droid and while waiting I was playing around with the Eris and just love the Sense UI.

So looks like we have to pre-partition, and then partition again using a script (which will be provided) built into the ROM?

Looks like i'll be having to learn ADB after all, since some outside code/scripts are needed. Anyone know if a good link or resource, past googling "ADB"?

im still asking if you have to partition again because the script built in is the same one. they have a sticky for. so i doubt you should have to do it again unless they change the size needed for the partitions. and ill give you a good link to set up adb and partition. boostd just posted that you will have to use the script so theirs no need to partition prior to loading this. and here is a good tutorial on setting up adb with screen shots http://www.droidforums.net/forum/blackdroid/37287-adb-auto-partition-droidswap-how-guides.html

Haha it is. My gf always keeps asking what I am doing, and then instantly regretting it after 10 minutes of me continuously talking about what ROM i'm loading.

Although I did manage to get her angry at BD when I told her the story of the CM/BD soap opera. Which I consider a win

It's the opposite in my house. My husband is the one whose eyes glaze over at the mention of technology. He wanted the Droid because he liked iPhone but didn't wanna move to AT&T ... to him they're the same phone lol.

I rooted mine and flashed a ROM the same day I got it. He runs stock with the same damn wallpaper. I TRIED to get him to let me root it cause he could do so much more ... he said no cause he doesn't care about that stuff. It KILLS me because he has this AWESOME frickin' phone and hasn't customized a THING! Not even the launcher! He has no clue what the launcher IS!
