How's the battery life overclocked vs nonoverclocked on this rom/kernal?

Honestly, I haven't even tried it without being o/c'd. But o/c'd I can get through the day with no problems at all. Hell, I don't even have to charge it at night if I still have like 30ish% or more because the battery % literally doesn't go down 1% over night. But I do it now anyway so I'm not switching batteries in the morning. I just charge it overnight now. But it just shows the battery life is MUCH better. You just have to make sure you have the right profiles set on SetPCU.. Also be careful not to o/c TOO much, because the phone will lock up. that's on any rom though.

But ya, battery life is amazing with this rom/kernel combo. I recently just changed to Kings BFS9 btw. So far the battery life SEEMS to be better than BFS8 but I wont know for sure until a few days with it..

Okay I root ed with the intent of flashing CM6 but you talked me into trying VaelPak first. So far I'm impressed! Will report back in a few days.

Ya that is weird. I'm assuming you've rebooted? Try rebooting again. If nothing works reflash, but make sure you wipe EVERYTHING, data/factory reset, cache, and delvik cache (i do each twice just in case)and THEN flash..

Been Googling my sd card issues and some people say to format my sd card. I'll try that first and then reflash if it doesn't work.

Quick update...

Reflashed the rom......didn't change issue
Formatted sd card......problem solved.

Now I'm reconfiguring everything to get it all.back in place. Fun fun

Can't guarantee that these will work well on VaelPak (if that is the ROM you are using) but I use the latest Swype_1.61.37.8128_WVGA800 version which is bigger in size (not sure what benefits it has over the one Vaelek included) and never have problems... you may be able to search for that one online somewhere

Only three pages??? I am not sure what you are referring to but I think you are talking about number of home screens? depends on the launcher you use and you can set more if you would like (at least in LAuncher Pro you can go to 7)

Also how do i use the High res option?

It is installed with the VaelPak ROM and is on your SD card. You can go into recovery and flash it. Look in the folder vaelpak-extras/Patches

Also, if you want to check out Vael's thread at XDA click on my signature below (likely any problem you have with his ROM is already addressed and if not he will respond usually very quickly).

Hmmm I've been using Fresh 3.1 with net 4.1.9.1 beta kernal and been really pleased with the results. I love the fresh updater for all the extra stuff he lets you do. Fresh 3.2 uses the stock kernal though, so I haven't upgraded.

Does anyone know the main differences between this and Fresh? Fresh seemed to have the smoothest video playback of all the ROMs I tried (including CM6).

No problems at all with the camera working or camcorder working on the VealPak rom.

My phone has been crashing when i try to use the video camera for some reason.. and the battery is getting killed quickly... I might go back to stock...

I know that its me that did something wrong.. i just dont know what to do to fix it..

Im running Fresh 3.2 with netarchy-toastmod-4.1.8-cfs-bfq-fresh-compatible.
I'm loving it!!!!!!

How do you know it is more stable? All I know is that the VaelPak has been awesomely stable for me and from most of the others that I have heard from that are using it. The better part is that Vaelek is easily the most responsive and helpful ROM maker around. Check out the thread at XDA if you want to get more info about it. Go to Vaelek's thread at XDA and likely he will have an answer or will help you figure something out. Would try re-flashing after wiping cache and dalvik and see if that works first.

XDA back up... but on the VaelPak ROM? Not using the AOSP clock so don't know but the beautiful widgets and the clock that is activated in the ROM works well and has an alarm clock also...

Yeah, up and down for the past hour or so.

I'm just talking about the clock called "Clock" on the app drawer. I keep getting, "process com.google.android.apps.genie.geniewidget has stopped". I only assume it's aosp because it's not like any clock I've seen on sense.
