HTC Incredible HD/Mecha rumored release date

It's false, they no longer follow this 3 strikes policy.

UNtrue! Unless they just changed this in the past two weeks. I have done the three strikes policy in the past two times now, and I am now on my second Ally. Two weeks ago I was told if I have to have another Ally, the would replace it with an upgrade, again.

Is there any true to the rumor that there is an event for the Incredible tonight? Seemed pretty legit, but if it was you would think it would be covered more by now.

If you guys are upgrading your devices and you're a secondary line on the account you want to get your upgrade before 1/7/2011.

Verizon is holding a limited time promotion that if you do a "new activation" or a "new upgrade" (basically sign a 2 year contract) Verizon will credit you $9.99 a month for 24 months (saving you $240).

You have to meet 4 criterias though.
1. Be a secondary line
2. Sign a new 2 year contract (new activation or 2 year upgrade)
3. Get a 3G smart phone
4. Get the $29.99 data package

But if at anytime you break one of these criterias you will have to start paying the $9.99 a month.

So what I'm thinking is if you just get into any smartphone on the day of your upgrade you have 30 days to return it to get a new device of your choosing (a.k.a. HTC Droid Incrdible HD). Which I think will still honor the 3G smartphone criteria pretty sure.

This is just a suggestion if you want to save some money.

Also if you're not eligable for an upgrade just add a line and get whatever phone you want and Verizon will credit you the $9.99 a month. So you're basically still paying that $9.99 a month but getting a new device, your number will change obviously but who cares you got an HTC Droid Incredible HD haha.

Just saying all this so you can get into a phone you want and save some money. And hoping the phone comes out before 1/7/2011 or if you do the 30 day return thing comes out before the 30 days is up.

With this deal you need to move from a feature phone or 3G Multimedia phone. This is what i was told by my buddy that works at verizon.

^^ that is correct I called about it a few days ago. Oh well doesn't bother me much I like the 1400 plan were they give you 20 off of your data plan more. But back on topic I need more info on this

No that is not true. I work for Verizon and the only requirements are what I've already listed. Your friend is mistaken. I will say though the only other requirement is that you will need to be on a Family SharePlan of at least $70 per month.

But as for you needing to be on a feature phone or a 3G multimedia phone that is untrue.

do u have to pay a restocking fee when returning whatever phone during the 30 day return window?

No not unless you don't want the phone at all. But if you're swapping for a different phone you don't have to pay a restocking fee.

There is not going to be a Incredible/Mecha HD 3G.. Only 4G. There was never proof of a 3G version of the phone. Seen Pictures of a 4G version. There has never been any stats of the phone. This phone will not be released until 1st or 2nd Q of 2011. The only phone that have a chance of release and it a slim chance is the Merge!!!

I wouldn't start getting too antsy for the release of this phone until April or May, just in time for the Incredible's first birthday. Hopefully by then Verizon has improved their 4g footprint to "respectable" and makes a 4g phone relavent to a larger number of customers in more cities.

Yes hopefully they can have a fast roll out but I don't know. I don't really expect this phone until next year and by then it may be outdone by the dual core phones coming

This is the phone I need to get over my Blackberry trackball addiction, I love that trackball. It'll be nice to switch from ATT to Verizon and get on that LTE network, I read the new frequency has great building penetration.

It's doubtful that the merge will launch this year so I don't expect this to
