HTC Incredible HD/Mecha rumored release date

I never said dualcore won't get support in that time. Support will most likely come with hunnycomb I simply said the snapdragon will be a good processor. No it won't perform as well as say a tegra2 when the tegra has full support. But in no way will it just fall on its face

I agree. I think people at times fail to see what can be done because the next big thing is already being worked on. Im basically done with fist gen phone of any kind. iPhone was horrible no mms, no 3g, no copy and paste. BlackBerry storm(do i really need to get into that one?) I will wait on second gen dual core unless the lg launches on tmobile soon after CES. I think dualcore will be great with honeycomb as its been announced that the tegra will be the benchmark(right? or am mistaken?) So dual core will definetly shine then. No need for dual core for gingerbread so till then i think qsd8655 will do its job till then and perform up to par and gve us more than we need till dual core. Which isnt that far away either.

So wait. You are signing a 2 year binding contract (when AT BEST you can upgrade in 12 months) that won't let you change your device easily.
Vzw will let you easily upgrade if your a perferred customer, so you will sign another 2yr binding contract.
so keep upgrading yearly no sweat been doing it for a while.

Correct !!! And by the Time we can see 3.0 on phones it'll be upgrade time again.

but far enough away to to wait till next upgrade.
To many people keep calling dual cores future proof how far future ?
Two years? doubt it !
nvidia made those dual cores in 09' unvailed them in 10' but know that software cant make use of them yet so they sat on em till now, start slamming in phones to be released in Q2 with hunnycome late Q3 finally manufacture and carrier optimized you see it late Q1 of 2012 when all the next batch of phones drop with newer faster more efficient dual cores and hunnycomb right outta the box no waiting:cool:
Its science of economics in innovative technology

I agree with tropper's last statement, I may opt for the HTC Dolt to get by with Froyo/GB and LTE and get an upgrade in 2012 with Qualcom Dual Core or updated Tegra 2 phones that can fully take advantage of the OS at that time.

I'm probably going to do that also these phones are only the tip of the iceberg by the time my upgrade is ready android and accompanied apps should support dualcore and the 28 NM dualcore processors should be out

I would get the HTC Thunderbolt and then the year after, I'll get whatever comes out. I can update yearly since I'm the primary line on the family plan.
