HTC One A9 pre order , shipping wait room

I called an AT&T store. They have them in stock. He couldn't give me a price over the phone. If I don't receive a email tracking # by tonight. I'm going to cancel my order and buy it at AT&T

Eman, It depends on how you feel about trading a few days wait for a phone that's carrier locked and loaded with bloatware.

Also, you will wait far longer for as long as you own the phone for software updates. AT&t is notoriously slow on that.

My credit card was charged and is no longer pending. I placed my order on the 1st, however no shipping notice as of yet.

Sprint was charging a "let's be stupid" premium fee of 300 dollars more if you wanted to buy from them outright and I wasn't even remotely interested in buying it subsidized and extending my contract.

Walked into my local att to get a hands on today, they had an empty display for the a9, they said they were supposed to have had it in but didn't know why they weren't there yet. All I know is I better get my hands on it at my door step before someone who just walks into the store and buys it on contract does.

Just got an email from HTC saying that shipping is being delayed until late November (I didn't get an exact date like the poster above) for my silver sprint version however to apologize for the delay, they are giving me a 25% off coupon for accessories.

I guess my partner's surprise really is going to be his Christmas gift as intended.

Just got an email saying that it will be shipped on the 10th. They gave me a code for 25% off accessories on their website. While I'm not in a hurry to get this phone, I am just excited to be getting back to android after having an HTC Hero several years ago.

The charger from HTC is a Quick Charge 2.0 charger. I wouldn't get it as there are qualcom certified 3.0 chargers up on amazon such as the Tronsmart or Aukey that are backwards compatible with 2.0 phones.

I ordered the A9 on Oct 27th from HTC.com. On Nov 6th I got a message saying "Your order of the Deep Garnet HTC One A9 will begin shipping in early December." I'm very disappointed. Very bad supply chain management. I just received a clear case I bought for the phone. Now HTC sends me a 25% discount off accessories for a phone that is scheduled to ship in early December. Who knows? The shipping date may be delayed again. I may just have to buy a Nexus 5X or iPhone 6s in the meantime and just resell my HTC One A9 when I get it. At least I got the $400 price and not the $500 price which is scheduled to start in a few hours.
