HTC One A9 pre order , shipping wait room

Preordered this and a N5X plan to return one and I have a feeling it will be the N5...

Just sent the 5X back. Felt horribly cheap. The A9 build looks fantastic

Just pre ordered the A9 in black. If battery life is good and HTC gives timely updates, I think this will be better than the Nexus 5x. With a 30 day return policy, I am willing to try it out.

Something kind of cool. I was in the process of pre ordering. All I needed to do was hit submit. I had to go to the other room to help someone and I accidentally closed the browser. When I came back, I had an email from HTC saying that they saw I left the A9 in my cart and that if I go back in to finish my order, I would get free 2 day shipping.

Just ordered my Garnett A9. I'm so fired up to get this. I was in love with it since I first read about it. The red sealed the deal for me. I tried austriak little trick and got the free two day also!

Well, I just cancelled my preorder. I REALLY wanted to like this phone...but it seems like the battery is small enough and the camera is mediocre enough in low light that I just can't get there. I really do love HTC products...using my HTC Desire Eye at the moment...but I'm done with camera compromises and battery compromises. Not sure even what I want...nothing seems to fit the bill in a 5" class phone with expandable storage. Maybe the Z5 Compact, but again no OIS and sony's Superior Auto give me pause. If only the Lumia 950 ran Android...

I pre-ordered an unlocked Deep Garnet model for my wife. I am going to play with hers to determine if I want to go with this one or if I want to wait for the next HTC release in the Spring of 2016. Really want to see Boomsound front-facing return and Snapdragon 820 but if A9 impresses me, I might just pick another one up for myself too.

Ordered an unlocked Opal silver. I had an iPhone 6 for about 6 months and sold it. I loved the build but couldn't put up with ios any longer. To me this phone is gorgeous. Good price, free uh oh protection and 15 day updates sealed the deal.

Canceled my pre-order and bought a 6p. That sd617 and 2150mah battery just kept nagging at me. Mostly the processor. I'm just going to have to get used to that damn visor on the 6p. I wish dbrand made a plain silver matte color for it but no.

If you preorder and have it shipped by HTC, I would think you would return to HTC. If you wait till it's available on the Sprint site, you'd return to Sprint.

Some people are stuck in carrier plans like jump, next and edge so for those people, some don't care about branding and like buying from local store etc. Either way I would avoid buying carrier versions if you can and have the option to go unlocked/unbranded.

I ordered unlocked as well but I'm concerned that T-Mobile Wifi calling will not work without the carrier version. Frustratingly, I couldn't find any info on this.

I was going to order one, but the reviews of the extremely poor battery life, as well as the price going up $100 have caused me to re-evaluate this purchase. The battery life thing looks to be a deal breaker for me.

At least we have 30 days to try it out and return it if the battery really turns out to be a dud. I ordered a Sprint version of it for my partner and can't get a clear answer whether it'll come with a nano sim or not.

But he'll have his m7 still for backup of we decide to return it and maybe wait till the first of the year to see what new ones come out... Hopefully the m10 or something.

I ordered a red one for my wife along with a bumper. HTC charge for both appeared on my Discover card immediately, bumper shipped yesterday, and full amount for both credited back to Discover card today.

But already a better experience than the opening day of the Nexus 4.

Should work. It works for me on my 5x so don't see why it wouldn't same with my unlocked iphone 6 which was orginally at&t

You had me all excited. I read that and that they had started shipping the phones! Then reread and realized not yet. :'(

I'm really pumped to get this thing! I know lots of pre-ordered items will actually arrive early, so I keep wondering if it will arrive on or before the 6th, or if they will actually ship it out starting on the 6th, and it would arrive on the 8th with two-day shipping?

What do you all think? Am I letting wishful thinking get the best of me here by hoping it might arrive on or before the 6th?
