HTC One Battery Life/Stats Discussion

That is a problem for every. But we can improve it with external battery backup So I suggest you must find the external battery to make the connection with others.

So I heard of 7 hours screen time from someone... Is that unheard of? My One gets about 4 to 4.5 hours... Same as my S4. What screen on times are you all getting? And how?

My biggest problem is system and kernel usage, it's always sitting at ~20% and I don't know how to fix it. My s4 is around 3%

Ya I am trying to figure out the excessive kernel use as well. Would installing a different kernel help?

I get about 4-5 hours of screen time as well. That seems to be the sweet spot for the One. These are my settings:

Disable Data (Only at work since reception sucks), Wifi On (Work and Home only), Locations On, Sync On(sync is disabled on certain apps), Power Saver On, Email checks every hour, Auto Brightness, Facebook, twitter, Kakao Talk, Blinkfeed set to Auto Refresh on Data and Wifi, and BT off. Thats about it. You can probably get 6-7 screen time if you disable data, no social media apps, Airplane Mode enabled, and other features.

Also I've notice that Bluetooth drains battery fairly more that I would think it should. Kernel, and Bluetooth are the big drains for me

Does anyone else have long kept awake times? Is it Google Now? Throughout the day my phone is kept awake for 3-5 hours. I like Google now, but if it's negatively affecting my battery life like this ill have to turn it off.

Hi, I got my htc last friday, I've been charging it everytime it's on 20 to 15%, after the initial charge wich was a full one, without turning it on. This morning I turned off the phone because I wanted a fast full charge. When the led notificator was green I tried to turned on and it was dead. I Had to use the power and volume up button 10 secs for it to work. It seems fine for now, I've tested it 4 times. Is it normal? Should I ask 4 new one? I think tomorrow is the last day I can do that. Also, as it starts up, drains 2% of my battery, without fast boot selected.

Anyway here are some screenshots of the battery before all this happened. I had power save on, all autosync off, no google location, and brightness all down, less for 20min it was on 20%..

I would also like to know if battery stats seems good, and it's suppose to get better in the next days. There's also a screenshot where the gsam app shows: "Type / health: Li-on / Good". I read this on a website: "Lithium Polymer battery is a subtype of Lithium-ion battery" so I guess it's ok?

Sorry about my english, greetings from Barcelona. :)

You have 5hrs of screen time, assuming your power saver had data connection disable upon screen off, it's normal.

I'm not sure why you had that hard reset problem but I wouldn't think much of it personally. People say your battery usually gets better after a few charge cycles, but to be honest your battery is already pretty good.

This is after my second full charge and full day. Pretty impressed. The old atrix would have been dead hours ago uploadfromtaptalk1369885098895.jpg
