HTC One Battery Life/Stats Discussion

Now down to 45% since I posted my last message. Is this kind of battery drain normal?

I've noticed that Spotify is a huge culprit with wakelocks on this phone. I see noticeably better battery when I don't use it. Strange.

Mine's latest is 3 hrs screen time. I have to give the battery a little more time to adjust. My One is just 4 day old.

If you can reduce the number of needless wake locks, you can get amazing battery life. Things are just so variable based on individual setups. I've taken time to optimize my own setup and my battery life is fantastic. I can go a couple days without a problem.

I just bought the One and it should arrive tomorrow. I will keep an eye on this thread and post my battery life after a few days. I hope to get at least 12-15 hours with moderate/heavy use. More won't do any harm, but I will be satisfied. From what I read on these 19 pages, the majority of people is getting that or more.

may i know how do u guys grab the pic of GSAM battery monitor from your phone!

I'm not sure on the one but on all of my other phones is volume down and power button at the same time.

I've had this htc one for some weeks now and i must say im impressed. When i was on school 2-3 days ago it didnt use more than 1-2% power in 5 hours... This of course was without doing anything at it :P

I installed guru power and watch how my new one improved
Used 25 hours and still got batt

Trying to get the best out of my battery. I usually get between 15 & 17hrs with moderate usage. Think I could get it a bit better. I have "sleep mode" turned on in the power settings. My understanding is that it will turn off either my mobile data or wifi during long periods of inactivity ... Looking at my History Usage chart I noticed that wifi is pretty much a solid blue line but between the hours of 2am & 6am the blue line disappears. I believe this means "sleep mode" is doing it's job. But from 6am wifi gets turned back on. I'm I right with my understanding of "sleep mode"? and if so, why isn't "sleep mode" kicking in during periods of long inactivity during the day ? Here is a pic to show want I mean ...

Any statement about battery life that does not take into account signal average strength, apps and their CPU usage , apps and their network usage, screen on time, WiFi vs. Cell Usage. Etc. Is not much different then me saying blue us better then red.

is there an app that give you all of those stats? i'd love to see something that showed avg signal strength

I don't feel like I'm getting the most out of my battery. Any advice please? How does this look? I have Snapdragon Battery guru running but I dont know what else to do at this point. Does this look average to you?

Brightness is set to about 25% as well. Sleed mode is enabled for deep sleep. Satelite GPS is also off and only turned on when I need it. Next to never! My HTC One is about 2 weeks old. Give me some advice to further my battery usage. :)

PS. How often should I charge my phone? Whenever does it matter?

Been really impressed with the battery life of mine. Easy a day use would go 2 whole days if I didn't always charge my phone at night anyway. Far better than my iPhone 4s

I got the battery going for 6am and charge it at around 1230am with 4+ screen time. Is that good already?

Looking to improve the battery life, do these wakelocks look normal? Any info on what I should check or how i could get rid of them? (Don't mind the 4 hour time, did a reset in the middle trying to get rid of the wakelocks but it didn't)

That's put of context... Can't just tell by looking at those numbers...

What's up with my battery life lately. Had to delete battery guru cause it made no difference at all in the days I used it just shut things off I wanted on even after telling it not to. My held awake time is 2hrs on 12hrs battery time and android system is using 95% of the battery. I'll post some pics from gsam. It's on auto brightness, WiFi off, auto sync on for just mail, GPS on, nothing really intense running. Facebook disabled as much as possible without deleting, power save mode about 50% of the time. Guess I can't post pics from mobile on the site and my AC app hasn't been working the last few days.
