Been very impressed with this camera so far. Even though it is only a "measly 4 megapixels", it more than holds its own against any phone out there on the market today.

Here is a few random pics I took around the Bay Area where I live and a random one of my wife.

These are shot with either normal scene mode or HDR where the sun is blaring and the brightness levels need equalizing. All in all, I'm quite pleased with the quality of the pictures that this phone produces. Last one was taken at Carmel beach using panoramic mode with a "cooker" filter applied for kicks.

I just don't get this camera. My experience is its a decent camera that sometimes can capture really good pics. And then blurry, grainy, messes like this. (I understand this is not a pic to "showoff" a camera etc.. but still, this looks like crap).

Yes, there's some background defocusing going on and yes, there's a visible purple fringing on the LED foglight strip at the bottom, but nothing too critical. And yes, that orange side marker looks ugly, but I'd like to keep it stock

Yeah, that sidemarker is pretty sad. Is that a US required modification?

The only thing I can think of is that the lighting was something that fooled the auto white balance. Sometimes florescent or other commercial lighting is tough to get right without adjusting manually.

I believe so. Some stupid regulation about amber-colored reflectors on the front and red-colored on the rear areas...

The US ruins more cars with their stupid regulations... Nice motor choice though.
