HTC One M10 design leaked in photo

From what I have read they have it wrong. Top earpiece will be one speaker and then the one in the bottom makes two.

Ok dude....I will never doubt your word again. I thought you were selling wolf tickets when you said a while back that it would have BoomSound speakers.

Believe me, I know nothing. I just follow a few people that I have found to have decent info sometimes.

I just wish HTC unveil the device already.

Posted using my Moto Maker Moto X Pure Edition on Verizon... Unlimited Data as well...Android Central App helped as well ;)

Patience young butterfly. I just hope we don't run into the M9 issue. HTC had everyone on their heels for that phone and waiting to pull the trigger. It was a let down at the unveiling. I actually got upset because I know I have good taste in great looking phones. I will not Cary an ugly two toned phone. I blame HTC's previous CEO for that crap. The M9 was like a dry steak, from the moment I saw it I said send it back.

Four things killed the M9. Evleaks fake render everyone loved it. The SD 810 overheating issue which never affected the M9. Being released before the camera had final software. And the display was not as good as the M8. But saying that it was and still is a damn good phone. It out performed IMO everything else in 2015.

It does have Boomsound, just in a different speaker layout.

From my understanding, Boomsound doesn't mean dual front facing speakers or dual speakers or anything like that. Boomsound is their equaliser/sound profiles they use on their speaker output.

So while the HTC 10 may have just one speaker, it still h as 'Boomsound' in that it still has the same EQ and stuff that their previous phones had.

While that is true it has been rumored to be using dual speakers. Evan hamdir from XDA has reported the ROM shows dual speaker setup.

You can't have the spatial stereo sound with one mono speaker. BoomSound is stereo sound. That requires two speaker. They don't have to be both front facing but two have to exist. In this case two do exist, it is just throwing people off because it isn't what they are used too.

No, that's what I'm questioning - whether Boomsound actually denotes who physical hardware speakers. From my understanding, Boomsound just refers to their software they've put into the phone for sound output, not necessarily two physical speakers on a device.

HTC themselves show how to turn on and off Boomsound: HTC One (M8) for Windows (Verizon) - Turning HTC BoomSound on and off - SETTINGS & SERVICES - How-tos - Support | HTC United States
so it can't be two physical stereo speakers - you can't turn that off.

I think the confusion is from HTC's poor marketing and messaging where they would always advertise Boomsound with two front facing speakers, despite two speakers not being Boomsound.

One more. Don't know why the app won't let me upload all the pics in the same post.

Those all look good to me.

Yeah I like them all, except for the gold, not my taste.

Not sure if I'd get the all white/silver back or the black front/white back or the all black. Would have to see them in person.

EDIT: Here are higher resolution pictures (click to enlarge):

Very nice looking device IMO.

Very nice looking device IMO.

The more I see the renders the more I hope there is a 3,500 mAh battery and not the 3,000 mAh battery that are both being reported. This phone is too thick for only having a 3,000 mAh battery.

Chances are it's going to be a 3,000 mAh battery. A company just doesn't switch flagship battery sizes overnight. A larger battery means it has to be sufficiently cooled. This is why you don't see huge batteries in phones.Even if you have a larger battery like the M9, doesn't mean it will outperform the M8.

Samsung did with the GS7. Sure, they had larger batteries I'm different devices, but they dropped a much larger battery in the new device compared to last year's model.

That said, I adore HTC. They were my introduction to Android with the HTC Aria. However, no flagship I've seen this year has me interested in leaving my Nexus 6P.

Who know, maybe HTC will announce a surprise device with a great camera, USB-C, 3,200+ mah battery, 5.2-5.5 screen, 3+ GB memory, 32 GB+ internal storage, if there must be an SD card slot it should be adoptable storage only, fingerprint scanner on the back or power button, on-screen controls only, and a good speaker(s). But, that's my preference.
