Yet another HTC One M10 leaked image surfaces on the webView attachment 217036
Looks like HTC has been listening to those who want their capacitive buttons back. I don't understand how this is a factor because with marshmallow you can hide your on screen buttons anyway with HTC phones.

Also if those renders are accurate and it'll have capacitive back and multi-task buttons....I don't know how I feel about that. I like the on-screen buttons, but then having an on-screen home button and a fingerprint scanner which functions as a home button seems kinda silly.
I'm liking how the device is shaping up based on these renders. Seems interesting enough.
Saw this 4 or 5 days ago. According to some that have seen the M10 that is some kind of case on it and not the real thing.

You sound like Chicken Little. People will buy those other phones and if HTC pulls off the phone of the year they may switch over. If not, that's business..
They can't afford to stay status quo. They need to get some of the people that are going to end up buying the S7 or G5. Those folks who are on a two year cycle and coming off an S5 soon are ripe for the picking but there's nothing they can do if they don't have the phone out yet. Yes that's business...but HTC's business has been very bad and they need to change.
First thing is they need to get noticed in the marketplace. I don't think HTC is a popular brand at all in markets around the world. Apple is #1 in smartphones, then Samsung then maybe LG (?). Sure, HTC could have released their phone in among the Galaxy S7 and LG G5, only to get drowned out by all the coverage and advertising the S7 and G5 will get. Samsung and LG are much, much larger companies than HTC are, and they can afford to drop serious money on advertising, which HTC cannot afford. These next few weeks will Samsung and LG will be bombarding tv channels, websites etc with advertising for their new phones. It's probably better for HTC to stay away from the storm right now and try to pick up some traction when the hype for the S7 and G5 have died down.
They simply can't compete head-to-head against LG or Samsung. I think it's a smarter move reveal/release the phone away from LG and Sammy.
Well I think it will be next to impossible for HTC to compete or even get noticed. Producing an outstanding phone, marketing, etc. won't help either.
As for the M10 (or whatever it'll be called), I wouldn't be shocked if it receives lukewarm reviews, comes in last place in every comparison test, and if the user comments in the articles are going to be a flame fest. In the consumer market I already know it's going to be overlooked by a wide margin. I know I'm being doom and gloom, but a lot of the comments I read (from editors and users) in response to the leaks are certainly pointing in that direction.

Physical home button makes me incredibly sad. An early render had an indented barely visible FPS on the front and I was willing to forgive that. This is much worse. From the praised design of the M7/8 to this just makes this look deformed.
It's stupid to have a fingerprint scanner there and not make it a home button. I really don't understand your point. What they did makes sense to me and everyone else.
