AC Question

So just today my phone (HTC One M8) insists that it turn on Bluetooth on its own. It tends to occur whenever I put my phone to sleep. If I keep the screen on, Bluetooth won't turn on. (Maybe a coincidence)

I use Bluetooth almost everyday with portable speakers and my car stereo.

I've reset phone and played around in the settings but can't figure out why Bluetooth keeps turning on, on its own.

If anyone could help that would be awesome, cuz it's killing my battery!

Mine just started doing this last night or this morning... I'm guessing it had to do with a number of updates it installed yesterday afternoon. I can't find the running apps section like I used to.

Hi, did anyone find a solution to this problem? My HTC One M8 is doing the same thing and it's driving me crazy. It basically seems to turn Bluetooth on every time it falls asleep.

Has anyone tried a factory reset? I may go that route but it would be a pain.

Nevermind, I figured out a solution to the problem. I had installed the latest version of Firechat, a messaging app that uses Bluetooth to communicate. When I uninstalled it, my Bluetooth stopped turning on automatically (this was never a problem before the Firechat update).

Mine keeps turning itself off when I'm in the middle of conversations. Is the conclusion that it's other apps interferring?

I had the same issue, but I figured out why it was shutting off all the time. The Bluetooth was somehow set for optimized battery use. Turning off the battery optimization solved the problem, but, obviously, uses a bit more battery.

Settings>Power>Battery optimization
press Battery optimization (Not optimized)>All apps
Scroll down to Bluetooth Share, and Bluetooth widget, and press them to turn off the optimization.

It did the trick for me...
