HTC One (M8): Case or naked

Didn't yours come with a silicone case? Mine came with one

Only the international ones come with a case. Us 'mericans don't get one

I would rather go naked but the reality is that accidents do happen no matter how carful you are. I would hate myself if I dropped it and dented the aluminum. I have an Incipio Feather case on order which should be here this week.

Re: Case or naked

If you drop the device, and it scratches or dents, and you smile because now it has character, then a case isn't necessary. If you get a scratch or dent on your phone, and now you can't stand it, then maybe a case is the right call. That is my .02

Best answer IMO. So true.

I'm going no case, first phone ever doing that for me. The HTC advantage + mobile insurance + the incredible build quality = I'm just going to enjoy the phone.

The only problem is that they will replace the screen but who's going to pound out the metal dent? I returned my m8 due to the length and camera quality. But slaping a case on that thing just doesn't make any sense. If you're going to do that then just get the Samsung S 5. It has a better display, better camera by far and better battery life. Plus it also has a smaller footprint.

Better display, better camera, and better battery life. The phone isn't out yet except for in Asia and you know this already? Especially the better battery thing. How do you know?

Was debating on that one too. I have a similar case on my moto x and really like it since I have a bamboo back on it. May even get that one later on.

I currently have this type of case on the HTC One M7 I have, and I absolutely love it!

It provides great protection, with out a lot of bulk, and allows the beauty of the phone to show.

No case for me. I can't bring myself to cover up such a beautiful phone with cheap plastic.

After living with the awesome feel of this phone, plastic just feels bad imo. I totally agree with ya

I always have my devices naked. I actually dropped my M8 in a bar last night as it just slipped out of my hands and it faired pretty well. Only a slight dent to the bottom to which you can only see if you know its there but hey, it adds character. Beaut of a phone.

Keeping mine naked (other than a tempered glass screen shield). This phone is too gorgeous to cover up, and feels even better in the hand.

I have the glass Zagg shield screen protector, awesome! I keep it in a soft glasses case when it's not in my hands. It fits perfectly! It protects it from keys, etc. and dropping.

I got a very tiny scratch on mine, on the upper right of the back right under the band, that's nigh impossible to see unless you hold it right up to your face, and it kinda bugs me, but I just enjoy the phone so much without a case. I'm debating getting one though because the phone has to be in acceptable condition when you turn it in with Edge, so I'm paranoid, but then again I might just pay the whole thing off so I can keep it anyway.

Does it raise the screen a lot? And is it noticeable or weird feeling? I've never tried a tempered glass protector. Also, are they usable with cases?

How is touch sensitivity?
