HTC One (M8) Colors: which one do you prefer?

I like the way both the silver and the gunmetal look. I've got the gunmetal but after hearing that the silver is less slippery I wish I had gone for it instead.

Everyone talk about the Gunmetal Grey being so slippery. IMO, it the best feeling phone I've ever touched. I love the feel of the polished aluminum. I was actually planning on getting the black HK edition, but once I held the grey, I was in love.

Funny thing, I ordered a thin case off amazon and I think it is even more slippery than the phone lol!

Yeah, a lot of cases are just protective but don't offer increased "grip". I just try to avoid booboos on my beloved phones.

I was set on getting gunmetal gray as well but then both silver and gray got sold out almost immediately and i had to go with the amber gold version. Getting used to it now, and i don't think it is as bad as many people suggest it to be

Good luck. I once had to settle for a white G2 when I really wanted black. Ultimately, I was not happy with the color and had to let it go, despite being told to just put a case on it.

I went with the gun-metal when it first came out on AT&T.. but, the rest of everyone in my family is on Verizon. So, I paid the termination fee (ouch), and was ready to get the silver from them. I loved it on the M7. I had it for 2 days, and it started to bother me. I had the AT&T deactivated gun-metal sitting right next to the silver.. And I preferred it. So, I told Verizon that my silver one was defective.. Shhhh.. And they gave me the gun-metal gray that I wanted. I'm happy now. I have the phone I want. The whole family is on one bill.. The two bills were killing me.. and all is well.. Except that I'm back with the greedieast and most inflexible carrier.. Verizon..

Verizon is quite greedy and inflexible...that's nearly undebatable...but they network? It perform well.

I actually bought my M8 at a local Best Buy store, instead of a Sprint Corp store on launch day, just so I could get the Amber Gold color. I am very happy with the Gold color. Personally, I kind of find the Gunmetal Gray color "Meh".

I personally like Gunmetal Gray. It looks like a real steel -- perfect for a man.
However, I would prefer Amber Gold, if purchasing for the wife. Gold looks rich and glamorous, though guardedly

Got my HTC M8 gunmetal today as well, got it into otterbox defender right away but took the plastic screen protector off that came with otterbox. Anyone know if glass screen protector will crack in the otterbox defender for the htc m8 case?

I have the Amber gold one. The only reason I got it was because it was the only one in stock, and I wanted the phone now. Not tomorrow. But I really love the colour. Would rather have the gunmetal gray. But I'm more then happy with the gold

Gunmetal Gray for me, no question about it, and I've waited for about 3 months before I could actually have it, as only Gold and Silver were available at the time I planned to get the M8
