HTC One (M8): Is there a really thin, clear case that's not just a flat "skin".

I have the same Cass on, fits well and very minimal. You can hardly tell it's there

Same for me. There a bit of plastic "creak" if you squeeze it in certain places but it's a steal for what it costs and is very thin.

for some reason i got a case in my htc box when i got the phone :) rubber silicone clear case with dust covers over the ports

I ordered this and it was supposed to ship on the 10th (release date for the clear) but Amazon still shows no shipping. I'm about ready to give up and cancel my order.
Update on that, I ordered the Barely There in clear and after not shipping for a week, I told them to cancel my order. Now, Amazon removed it from their site. So, I am now looking for the best skins available. The Skinomi has too many little wrap-around extensions to it (which, in my experience, tend to peel quickly) so I want something cut in a basic way that will resist peeling. I know most of them are made from the same material but still interested in recommendations.

I am in between the Casemate Barely There and the Incipio Feather cases. Trying to find a way to lift the screen off the table whenever I place the phone face down and can't seem to tell how big of a lip these cases have. Anyone have any experience with them?

I actually have the Skinomi full body skin and after they redesigned it and sent me a new one, I'm overall happy with it. It sticks on very well and it's multiple pieces so you can install it easier. The front piece has speaker grill covers that are separate from the screen protector, which I really like.

All in all, for $13, I would definitely recommend it to someone else. I will admit though it is a little tricky to install, but that's why they have a lifetime warranty. Just email them and tell them there was a problem and they send you a new one!

Sure, I tried to get some different angles. If you need more/better I can supply them. All photos taken with my now old m7

I bought a Kayscase on Amazon, and it's by far the thinnest case I've ever seen. I doubt it offers much protection from a drop, but I guess it can prevent scratches.

Amazon.com - KAYSCASE Slim Hard Shell HTC One Plus (HTC One+, HTC One Plus, HTC ONE 2, M8, the All New One) Cover Case (Lifetime Warranty) (Clear) -

I have this as well and really like it EXCEPT that there's no lip around the screen. It's pretty much flush with the screen - no lift when placed face-down.

I went ahead and ordered the Incipio Feather SHINE. I'll post back with images once I get it but the listed dimensions makes me think that it should have a slightly bigger lip than the regular Incipio Feather. (10.92mm Depth vs 9.65mm Depth) I think that plus the Spigen GLAS.TR should be a good middle ground between looks and protection.

This is my favorite case...

I was looking for the same thing - not a hard case like the Barely There cases, but a very thin TPU material (very flexible). The normal TPU cases are pretty thick - I found this, the Baseus case that I'm hoping is what I'm looking for. I think it'll be here this week so I can update.

That looks promising! Looks like it covers all sides like a standard TPU but much thinner. I'm curious on the clarity. Based on the pics it looks almost as clear as a hard case. I think the pics are photoshopped a bit. Can't tell if the HTC logo will be covered, or it it was digitally removed. Can't wait to see the pics when you get it.

I also dig that case, did you get it and can give me your opinion on it?

That looks great, I also ordered one (for 3,20 euros I couldnt resist). Did you already have yours? How is it?

It's kind of hard to tell - do they include a separate piece to cover the top part of the phone as well, like how they did with the bottom portion?

The only thing I don't like about the super slim/snap on cases is how it leaves the top and bottom exposed. If skinomi includes protection for those areas (which XtremeGuard's full body protector doesn't) then I may use the skin + case.
