HTC One (M8) Photos & Videos Thread

Added an M8 to my collection. I really need therapy

My Phones as of 4-14-2014

Just took a few photos so far and the camera overall is pretty good. I wouldn't say fantastic but not as bad as people would fear. Love the form factor and how fast and responsive the phone is. Button placement is somewhat awkward but I got used to it pretty quick. As some of you have said, that area where the HTC logo is at is a waste of space.

Here are the first photos I have taken with this phone:

One of my favorite things about htc is how true the color looks. Even the S5 with its improved screen still has cartoon colors to me that seem fake. I just prefer lcd and htc's screen implementation.

A beautiful day today that I spent a few hours detailing my car. Unedited pictures of my hard work :)

The camera is much better than I expected and the effects work great.

Wonder if this will work. If so, enjoy. If not, I'll have to figure something else out.

Edit: It works. I should note that none of the pictures were edited at all, and to my knowledge Photobucket doesn't touch them either. I even left the "not so great" ones in there.

The HTC One M8 has a hard time with white and yellow in outdoor lighting. This yellow is too overexposed

Again struggling with brighter colors outdoors

Where did they sky go?!

The M8 takes great shots indoors and does with with close up and macro shots. However, photos outdoors I get mixed results. A lot of the times, whites, yellows and other bright colors get too overexposed.

Flowering crap apple tree? And the bumble bee, I just saw one today.
BTW, do you live in southern Florida? Why is the lavender blooming already? Mine just came back to life from the cold winter.

Bay Area in California.

That bee would not stay still for just one second to let me get the phone by him to snap the pic. LOL

Nothing special. Just some Sunday afternoon goings-on around the house.

U-focus and subtle filter. Dim, but I'm never awake early enough to get these when the sun is on them.

The twig in front of the lizard was flailing around in the wind but the cam was fast enough to deal with it.

HDR. Nice to have a cam that does hand-held HDR without blurring.

Shadowed areas came out ok but the sun-lit spots were too much.

I wish photobucket didn't murder the fine details but oh well...
