You can also go to Settings > Display,gestures & buttons > Sleep

change Auto sleep to like 10mins I got the same problem when I am reading, annoying as f#ck

use 3rd party music player with equalizer and SRS. way way better than the stock.

I think this is prohibited that's why we don't see a functional one in market. I can do this on my old symbian phone though
