HTC One V

Looks nice, but it will need a big ol battery.

Here is all I want from VM: a phone with a 4 inch screen, 4MP camera, solid antenna/baseband, and native Gingerbread.

Is that too much to ask, really?

Battery life on the 3d is better than the OV so long as you leave 4g turned off when you aren't using it. In fact it gets about 30-50% more battery life than an OV does if I remember right.

Oh wow, awesome! I am definitely looking forward to any news on that.

I read a article the other day about the new evo 4g lte coming to sprint. The brought up some good points regarding the reason why sprint isnt getting a HTC ONE brand phone.

I think VM usa will get the Evo brand instead of the One brand. Just because they are owned by Sprint and the reasons behind Sprint keeping the Evo brand instead of picking up the One brand.

Ill see if I can find the article so you guys can see where Im coming from.

Sprint can keep its EVO brand by tweaking a little of the One X and calling it their own Evo 4G LTE like the recent Sprint/HTC event showed. Carriers like to tinker with things unnecessarily just to feel like they're adding some vallue to a device.

Anybody else hear iPhone 5 will get face unlock? It's incredible how their best new features come from the ideas of Android. Siri, Notifications, face unlock, what's next?

Lets not turn this into an iPhone flaming thread, but while we're on the topic, can I just say how much I hate apple for this? I hear all my friends: "I just updated my iPhone to ios5, and now I have this awesome pull down thing at the top. Awesome, right?" Well, sorry to rain on your parade bud, but android's been doing that since the beginning. Another scenario: "Aw man, I want the iPhone 4S so bad! Have you seen siri? Your little Droid can't do that..." Oh, but it can, and it has been from the beginning. Can I just say how psyched I am for Google to release project Majel? They'll do voice actions better then apple could ever dream...

I love how there's a whole iphone iteration that was produced for siri... simply some software. I know people with iphones disappointedly tell me they have the 4 not the 4S and I think, who cares... at least you didn't spend an extra $$$ for a stupid voice command system that isn't even as good as the android voice.

But, but, it's SHINY!

Android users care about what they have saved in the phone and customizing software. Android users can swap phones and be not that big of a deal, the phone hardly matters. Iphone users on the other hand, tend to care about cases and the fact that it's an Iphone. They don't care about Iphone OS, or Mac, or whatever, most only really care about being able to show off that they have an Iphone.

It's a fashion show and if you don't have the latest and greatest, you lose.

No that's a mistake. Any phone released on Virgin Mobile will be CDMA. The article has the so-called One V confused with the One X, which has bigger specs, GSM, and will go to AT&T.

The One V is GSM in Europe. A CDMA varient will be released here in the US.
