No, just wrong. It doesn't just give you a "barely slightly bluer tone" It over saturates to an inexcusable extreme. Watching a dark movie is literally impossible, it turns the whole screen black. I've seen it myself. But here, see how much it over saturates and turns to black, even where there is no darkness at all.

And it does effect the crispness and clarity. Quick lesson. HTC's LCD contains each each color inside every pixel, creating a crisp image. Amoled has each color spread out next to each other one color at a time in a pen tile matrix, creating a fuzzy image.
And on top of it all the GS3 screen is significantly dimmer. So feel free to buy an S3 but don't try to convince yourself or others that the screens are pretty much the same.
BTW, took a bus to vegas on monday with my buddy. and his phone lasted maybe 20 minutes longer than mine, both of us were watching movies the whole way. Now he did have the International, the U.S. version probably uses less power with it's snapdragon.
What's your problem, mate? You've been snapping back at anyone on this forum and others who dares mention anything pro S3, which you for some reason then take as a personal attack on your precious One X. It IS possible to have 2 really good phones on the market at the same time, ya know... Sensitive much?
Please try reading more carefully next time and you'll see that my comment was not about trashing the One X, nor did I ever state that they were even close to "the same" as you've falsely accused. Nice try, straw man. Also take note that I DID state that it "sucks" that the S3 uses PenTile (exact quote there, my friend). I've also mentioned in previous posts (that you've directly responded to, btw) that the One X's screen architecture is superior to that of the S3 and that I enjoy HTC products and intend to buy one in the future. Yet your first sentence out of the gate is that I'm "just wrong" and then you decide - falsely, btw - that I know nothing of the differences the two screen types and proceed to give me a "quick lesson" anyway.
All I was saying is that there is a silver lining in the fact that the S3 uses LED, which is proven in lab tests to use less energy in TVs, phones, and just about anything else that uses them. But instead of letting me offer any hope to people upset up this, you instead take it upon yourself to continue your crusade against any positive S3 comment by segueing my point, then arguing that CNET's lab tests must be incorrect because you've conducted a more scientific test on a bus or something. Relax bro, we're all friends here.
You're welcome to express your opinion here. Just please take note that you're starting to come off butthurt in all your posts.
