HTC Thunderbolt hands on video [UPDATED]

This is going to be the perfect birthday present to myself...along with a few extra batteries, or a charger for work, lol

No u don't buy it unless u loose it. It comes preinstalled on your phone. Not sure the reasoning for a sim card. Most likely will have your phones and VZW info to communicate with 4g towers
forgive my basic questions, I've never used a sim card. Why is one needed for LTE? Are they just purchased like a micro sd card? What function do they serve that isn't needed on 3G or anything else?

thanks for the help~

This video renewed my faith in this phone. Don't get me wrong, I was always gonna buy this over the Bionic since I'm a custom ROM addict and Motorola's locked bootloaders kill all the fun... but still, dayum ;)

As for the quad scores thing, there are so many factors that go into it all that Quadrant isn't even accurate anymore, confirmed by the almighty cyanogen himself (see here: AndroidSPIN ? My Quadrant is bigger than your Quadrant)

Hope this thing drops on the 14th at Best Buy for realsies like we're hearing.

Methinks there are going to be many wives/girlfriends upset on Valentine's Day since we'll all be playing with our "new girlfriend" that day :P

Thanks a lot. No complain here, but was this the original video taken from a monitor screen? Or is the original a better one with a better resolution? Thanks.

yeah what the hell lol someone filmed youtube with a camera ._.;;;;;;;

Wikipedia is your friend.

In short, LTE is a GSM-based technology, which require a SIM card (unlike most Verizon phones which use CDMA technology). The SIM card stores all the important information cell towers need to identify your phone. You can purchase prepaid SIM cards (handy when you travel abroad), but since they're what's used to identify your phone, it's generally not a good idea to swap them willy-nilly.

Wow, I didn't think he would remove his video. There was only about 10 views of his video before I posted it here. Hopefully he didn't get into any kind of trouble cause his face did reflect off the screen. I was able to catch it cause I subscribed to his channel after watching his Evo Shift video.

I didn't notice the numbers on the box though lol!!

im working on it give me 30 and ill pull over and boot up my laptop.
