It's the same with OP5. The fact that carriers have a say and still force on what phones work and do not work with their network is really bad. Only T-Mobile works great with unlocked phones including OP5 and U11. For the rest support and features are limited.Carrier? I was considering the U11 until I found out HTC dropped at&t's band 29 and 30. So now I'm looking at the OP5.

I also don't seem to understand the obsession with the camera from pretty much everybody. Did the whole world become professional photographers over the past 1-2 years. Apparently if a phone's camera doesn't take professional studio quality pictures, the whole thing is obviously garbage... If you actually care enough to want that level of quality, buy an actual camera...
I'm a stickler for a good camera, but I agree with this. As long as I can get some good pics and videos of my kids, I don't really care. And as I look back at my Google Photos since I had the Nexus 5, all of my pics have been good enough to preserve those memories. I'm not looking for something to hang on the wall at the Met.

It's not so much just the camera but the whole package including video. I myself have a 4k tv in every room in my house as well as a 5k imac to edit video on. I like to have a capable 4k video shooter and the op5 takes horrible 4k video without ois. Super shaky unusable video. Plenty of other options in the op5 range that take way better 4k video even if it means paying an extra 100$ for a superior video camera.
I understand that. And see where it's important for you. I think you're probably an outlier. I have one 4k TV and have never recorded anything on any phone in 4k. It just doesn't matter to me at this time. And I also agree that the OP5 seems to have pretty terrible 4k recording. So if that is important to you, then I completely see why you wouldn't want it. But I'm just guessing that it would be great for most people who don't fall into the 4k category.
OP5 can only use 5 GB of RAM and the camera, while ok, is really bad compared to the U11, which is currently the industry leader.I sure to choose the OnePlus 5, for its large 8GB memory + 128GB storage, and better 20MP+16MP horizontal dual rear camera specs.
Eh, I'd argue that the U11 has the better cameraI sure to choose the OnePlus 5, for its large 8GB memory + 128GB storage, and better 20MP+16MP horizontal dual rear camera specs.
OP5 has bands 29 and 30 that are missing from the HTC U11. Those can be important depending on where you live.
