Will it be Slippery? The only thing I didn't like about HTC 10 was the slippery finish. I am not a case-person. Does anyone know? Will it be very slippery?

My pre ordered U11 was due to be collected today from carphone wearhouse (Ireland) but I received an email yesterday from them telling me there is a delay in receiving the U11 of 2 weeks! They're offering me 50 voucher if I decide to wait. I was going to choose the XZ Premium instead, but that is delayed by a week too!

Probably not, other than Samsung and Apple no one gets overwhelmed. Pixel is mostly not available but that's not because it's in high demand, it's because they don't have the supply chain like Apple, Samsung.

Should, hurting the power button a couple of times seems to fix it for a while.
OK, I'm in, I ordered a black one, using the "SQUEEZEU11" discount. Still had to pay 6% state tax though on top of the $599.00.
Even though I said I'd never spend more than 500 bucks on a phone, this one attracted me, mostly due to good experience with an HTC M7 Google Play edition I owned. I ran into a problem with it where it wouldn't boot and HTC USA fixed it very quickly, even though it was out of warranty.
So, looking forward to the U11 to replace my still nicely running Motorola Moto X Pure Edition, which will go to my wife to replace her damaged LG Flex.

I think that, despite the price tag being a little high on the U11, it's a good, quality device that is worth the extra cash.

I'm seeing a few people coming over to the u11 from Moto and I'm one of them (moto x 2nd gen). One of the things that appealed to me years back about moto were the gestures i.e. chop-chop flashlight and twisty camera launch. The u11 takes it to the next level by letting you squeeze to launch any app and/or control a bunch of phone functions. That's really appealing to me.
$600 seems like a lot of $ to me for a phone (I got my moto x on clearance for $75) but there are just so many things about the u11 that are appealing and that's why I preordered. I want a unique looking phone (my moto x had a bamboo back) and the u11 delivers with the amazing silver that changes from a chrome look to slate blue to purple. I like the almost stock Android (like moto), the amazing camera, and the front facing fingerprint reader. It's also very cool that htc takes care of all your phone needs right when you open the box...no need to hunt down a case, charge/sync cable, usb-c earbuds, etc.
I wanted to continue on with moto (I had my eye on the Z) but after following their forums a few months and seeing all the hardware, software, and customer service issues they've been having lately, it just felt time for me to jump ship.
I was an M7 owner but was disappointed with the M8, so I left HTC. I pre-ordered the sapphire blue from sprint because the deal was amazing. The lease is only 12.75 a month for me. Glad that I get to return to HTC.

How is the price tag a little high when is less than all the other flagships?I think that, despite the price tag being a little high on the U11, it's a good, quality device that is worth the extra cash.

OP mentioned that it was more than he/she had been willing to pay for a phone initially - plus it's $900 here in Canada!
Just ordered the Sapphire Blue. Silver is out of stock for now. I've had the HTC Inspire, One X, One X Plus, M7 and M9 and 10. Looking forward to this one.
