HTC U11 Preorder Thread!

Just came back from the HTC U event at Seattle, looks and feels great in the hand. Squeeze functionality works great, device is smooth as expected, u sonic noise cancelling is legit, camera couldn't test much. Asked when can we expect shipping, was told around June 9th or couple days of earlier possibly.

I'm a bit confused. If I order the unlocked version will it work on the Sprint Network?

I'm with Sprint now, but will be switching to a family plan when my wifes phone contract ends in October (& holding out for the iphone) and would like some flexibility on choosing the best joint plan account when that day comes instead of being locked in to one carrier.

No sprint model is the only model that works on sprint, the unlocked model does not have Sprint's bands.

I ordered the black, all though it will be in a black Spigen case all of the time. My HTC 10 is only a year old and going strong. I still really like it and I wasn't going to upgrade, but after seeing the what the 11 is doing with specs. camera and audio, I had to.....

That was basically me as well - had been planning on sticking with my 10, and still loving it, but the camera and other spec improvements were so compelling, that I had to go for it.

Similarly, as with mfreeland and popartist, I am very content with my HTC 10 - yet I just purchased the U 11 in blue because I want to give it a go. It seems to be a low risk venture because of the 30 day money back guarantee.

It'll be shipping around June 9th or even couple of days before. Even Amazon lists release date for unlocked version as June 9th and HTC folks mentioned at the HTC U meet up that HTC.com orders also will be shipping around that June 9th date.

Sprint says shipping no later than June 8th
