Who gives a dam about 810 vs 808 vs 805. Dam it I am too excited to care. Google is having press event in 8 days.
I believe the Sony Z5 range are the only 810 powered smartphones equipped with dual heatpipes though? Correct me if I'm wrong please! So they should have a distinct advantage over everything that's come before?
I'm pretty confident it will be but IMO it's important to not be too confident about what manufacturers says when they market a product.
Since the beginning of the year, we have seen so much manufacturers coming with a "solution" for the S8xx problem or even denying it but nothing has changed.

If you did want to avoid the 810 your options are pretty slim.
LG G4
Any Samsung
In fact, 4k videos are not that demanding for a S810 and a S808 or even a S805 are capable of recording 4K videos too. So even a downclocked S810 will have no problem at doing it too.
And beefed-up physical cooling hardware will do a lot more than the software solutions used by other OEMs. Hopefully!
The hype train be at full throttle. All aboard!
Serious question: Who here thinks Google is purposely making what some might call "inferior" devices this year, knowing full well that the SD 820 will be out next year, when the 2016 crop of devices should be powerhouses, with the 14 nm technology? Do you think all of these companies are holding out, because of the whole SD 810 flop? Basically, my question is, should I be concerned in any way that the 810 will probably be under-clocked in this year's Nexus? What positives would that incur, in terms of battery life, and/or performance? Would it be a wiser decision to wait until next September, when the SD 820 Moto X and Nexus comes out? Do you think companies will skimp further on battery even then, to test the effectiveness of 14 nm power efficiency?
I think they're trying to make a higher end mid range phone in the 5x and high end in the 6p ... if the 6p rumors are true, other than 4GB RAM, which is probably unnecessary for a Nexus device, specs in 2015 don't get much better. 810, OIS, fingerprint display, 1440p, 128GB option and a nice big 1450 mAh battery, with a premium build ... what more are you looking for?
Well, they just released benchmarks, and the 810 in the 6P whooped the 808 in the 5X. So what say you now?did u see the benchmark results?

2 points.
If you're s3 is broken you can get a nexus 6 64 gb for $369.
If you are thinking about the 6p consider this, next year's nexus phablet will pack a 820 processor with quick-charge 3.0.
810 has no standout features and nexus 6 is priced to sell similar if not superior specs for far less and it comes with turbo charging.
