Huawei P30 Pro Review

Woah...those images of the P30 and Mate 20 Pros look so squashed it’s almost as if they’re the new Sony phones lol.

While in low-light the P30 Pro is unparalleled (surpasses the Pixel 3), in daylight their photos simply look too dull compared to Samsung and iPhone photos in my opinion.

Question: I'm watching a P30/P30 Pro AC review video... Apparently the smaller P30 is only IP 53 splash resistant! So sad! And more than a little disappointing. Does anyone have any experience using the P30 that can kind of ease my worries a little bit? My Pixel 2 is "water resistant" and I've grown quite accustomed to that feature.

I believe it is fine if you get caught in the rain etc which tbh is all I care about, I’d never submerge such an expensive device.

What I'm most worried about is rain/snow exposure. Even though my Pixel 2 is water resistant I never submerge it or put it where there's steam, etc. I just love the P30 and that was one thing that disappointed me. But you do have a point.

Oh Morty! You're thinking of cheating on your Pixel 2 as well huh!

I noticed in comments that people were asking about warranty in the U.S. B&H is offering the phone for $900 and included in that price is a one year B&H warranty and a prepaid 60 day Mint SIM card.

WOW! That's amazing! If only I lived in the States!

IP53 is more than enough to take the occasional dip here and there as proven by phones with the same rating in the past so it'll be fine. Even non-rated Huawei phones survived two minutes under water perfectly in the past in Youtube test videos.

Thank you for the comparison! That makes me feel better!
