I can't receive phone calls on my Essential phone.

My phone goes straight to voice mail when anybody tries to call me.

I am having the same issue. As well as calls being dropped or can't hear me when I call.
Which Service provider do you have? I am using Sprint.
Essential says it is a Sprint Network issue. Both have had me jump through flaming hops while doused with gasoline, but still no luck with a resolution.

It's a Sprint issue. Everyone has had problems with Sprint (going back to at least 2004 that I'm personally aware of).

Find a Sprint store, bring the phone in and ask them to fix the provisioning on your account. If they can't, won't, or that dfoesn't fix it, and they won't call Sprint (most Sprint stores are individually owned), find a company store and try there. It may take Networking watching the tower as you turn your phone on, but there is a way of finding the problem.

Wife had a similar issue on ATT. Culprit turned out to be her haring aids which had been synced to the phone. Turned of "hearing aid", powered down, rebooted and all was ok. Still have to get the hearigng aids resynced.
