I did it - V20 traded in for a new G6

If the G6 had led notifications, ir blaster, 16/9 aspect and DAC I might consider it.

I played around with the G6 at my local T-Mobile store. And although it's very nice, it seemed a little thick to me. (Maybe I'm just acclimated to the feel of my V20)

It's a nice device, it really is. But like I've stated many times, I'm waiting for the V30.

Although I'm curious, being a 18:9 ratio, how do apps like You Tube, Netflix, etc, play on the screen? Does it take advantage of the space or are there plenty of "black bars".

I wonder if there will be many apps optimized for 18:9?

I think eventually all the new ones will because unfortunately I fear all the manufacturers will copy cat the stupid 2/1 ratio. I say change the ratio when all out tv's are 2/1. In the meantime let's keep 16/9 so tv shows and sporting events look good on phone.

Why stop at 2 to 1? Let's just go ahead and make them 10:1! Slap some wheels on it and it'll double as a skateboard. Add boot straps and it can be a snowboard. With the trend towards water resistance/waterproofing, some fins would make for a decent surfboard. An entire new segment of the third party industry could be created by this one simple and entirely non-market driven change!

Well I followed Jeremiah's lead and traded in my V20 today for a G6. I received the V20 as a insurance replacement for a G5, and it was ok, but it wasn't my choice. I never really got the 2nd screen.

So far I am enjoying the smaller size of the G6. I guess I'll see how it goes.

I did the same thing. Bought a used g6 on swappa and played with it for 2 days. It is an amazing device that does everything well. The screen is beautiful and the battery life is pretty good. The screen though with the new ratio felt a little to small for me. I love my big screens so I am back on the v20 with the hyperion extended battery.
