I Do NOT Recommend Buying the New Samsung Fast Charger

ITs about right.. I have been doing some testing on my 10w fast charger. I found out today that they dont work as fast without buying a 19w 2.0 wall charger. Using the samsung fast charger it took a little over 2 1/2 hours to charge and thats with the phone off. (case didnt matter). today I got the 2.0 wall charger and now its just a tad over 2h. Again with the phone off.

Well, if you want "Fast Charging" with the S7 the minimum output on the charging pad you use is 10watt. Also, you need to be using a Qualcomm Certified 18W Wall Charger if you want Fast Charging. Again, you need both of these!

For the record, the charging pads and charge adapters that are 5w will charge your S7 but will not fast charge your S7.
Another point is the newest spec adapters are Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 specification (go to Qualcomm Website)
and these adapters are 15w. These Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 adapters will give you fast charging that is a tad faster but not much faster. Also, I not believe the S7 supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

SO, my recommendations:
For S7 Fast Charging is to buy a Qualcomm Certified 18W Wall Charger plus a 20AWG 3.3ft micro USB cable, if you just want a spare, fast charge, wall charger.

A person with an S7 that wants a charging pad that offers fast charging for the S7, they should go with a 10 watt charging pad that plugs into a Qualcomm Certified 18W Wall Charger.

Here is a link to the pad and adapter that I use. It has the specs I mention above. Price is decent. Be sure you select and order the one that has "Fast Pad + Adapter" as remember, you need both.

For a reasonably priced, decent wall adapter and cable you might consider this one. My buddy has it and it works great
with his S7.

QC 3.0 is not supported by Sammy.. it was turned off, but you can still use the 3.0 chargers.. just will work as 2.0 for us.

I'm using the QC 2.0 wall charger here


those with fast chargers.. with your phone off and almost at 0 how long is it taking to get to 100%?

I personally like the charger. Have it on my front table, I don't reach for it constantly, but I can see if one fiddles around in the darkness you can slip it off. It could have a lip on the stand part of it to hold it better, but I'm satisfied.

I wasn't even aware of the charger so thank you for informing me there and I could totally see why that would be a problem. I have the s6 edge plus so I am sure that would just fall right off and my case would end up not being able to protect it eventually. I will just stick with the wireless charger I got with the promotion.

I don't see how the wireless tilted charger would benefit you. Just pick the phone up and put it back when you're done

Its nice when you get woken up by a text at night while sleeping without moving anything but your head and seeing the pop up text. I have a stand wireless charger ( not Samsung) and to me it's very convenient.

Glue a Lego to the tip of the base of the charger and it will keep your phone from falling off. Problem solved.

picked up a generic fast charger for $45 on amazon. it's tilted so the phone stays up. charges the phone decently quickly in a couple of hours.
the verizon store has a ton of fast charge wireless options... but just amazon it.

Got mine today as part of the bundle pack verizon is selling for 99.99. I got that a powerpack and fast car charger.

The new wireless charger works fine, even with my note5. Both the s7 and note5 are in otterbox defender cases.

Of course you cant do all the things you can while holding the phone, but i can hit the home button to wake up the screen, use my fingerprint to unlock it and check messages.

I really like how it sits at an angled now instead of flat, and the charging light is not near as bright as the flat charger.

All in all i say its a great charger. But thats my opinion.

**Ok so now i have to edit this. My note5 keeps pausing if my otterbox defender is on the phone. The defender case is fine on the s7. Kind of dissapointing.

Sent with my white Note5 with nonremovable back and no SDcard!

Glad I bought mine, works great! Charges fast and neither the phone or the charger get hot.

If you are that worried about stability, you can place the phone in it horizontally (landscape) so its' center of mass is lower. It won't get knocked out easily.
