I don't use Project Fi. Can I let my friend use my Pixel XL so she can sign up for Project Fi?

My Pixel XL was never used on Project Fi. The only SIM card I've ever inserted into the phone was the AT&T prepaid SIM card.

My friend wants a Project Fi account so she can use it in a non-Pixel phone. If I let her borrow my Pixel XL to create a Project Fi account, will there be any problems? I'll wipe the phone back to factory default before handing to her... then wipe it again once she's done.

Dont think it would be a issue. She would have to sign up on their page first to get a sim sent.

No it will still get service but won't work exactly how Fi is supposed to (in terms of auto connecting to open wifi networks and such).

Figured you saw this on AC today, about Google Fi testing VoLTE. Does that mean they will be getting HD voice?
