Do you count the same phone more than once as a phone, for the purposes of what you are asking?
That's a good question as I have never really kept up with it. It's been quite a few spanning since I first made the switch over to Android which I think is pushing a year and a half or so. I've owned the same model phone a couple times like the honor 8 and Nexus 6p twice. I've owned the both the Samsung S7s. The S8. The LG G5. All the Moto Z line of phones. Every one single one of them which I very much liked the Moto mods. There are a few more but I don't recall as some were catch and release as I know right away whether I like them or not. Now I wish I could remember them all but a bulk of them were the Moto Z line. I had the Moto Droid turbo. The Moto Droid verizon edition with the red back. Then I've owned every iPad except for the latest 10.5 inch model. Several android tablets. Samsung, Huawei and Asus. Oh the Axon 7 Mini. Probably two or three more way back when I first came over to Android but you can get an idea for what brands I liked as some brands didn't interest me. Oh I've owned the Sony Xperia a couple times. Quite a list of phones and now I'm just tired of buying and selling so it's the biggest reason I'm about to settle down with one phone to use long term which if all goes according to plan probably the iPhone 8 and then I'll get another iPad and be set for a long while.

How many times did you have the honor 8?

For an iphone user you sure played around with a lot of different android manufacturer. I'm sure huawei was your favorite brand.

I've owned it three different times. Seems that I keep coming back to it. I've owned the blue, black and now Pearl. I'll keep the Pearl if I don't end up getting the iPhone 8 which the opportunity came out of nowhere. I was not actively seeking it out but when I signed up with Xfinity their promotion was so good it allowed me to get it as the gift card will just about pay it off. I'll know Wednesday whether I'm getting it or not.

Yes I did try quite a few different Android phones over the past year and half. Being that I was exclusively Apple for so long I just became curious of what Android was like and how it compared to IOS. I found that I liked being able to to customize features and it definitely got me used to larger displays. That's a concern of mine if I go back to the iPhone being that the screen is 4.7 but to be honest my perfect sweet spot is exactly 5 inches so the iPhone is not far from that so I'm sure I will be fine going back to it being that it it's all I ever knew for so long. In fact the iPhone 6s was my all time favorite iPhone so the iPhone 8 is basically the same design but of course much more powerful with added features that the 6s didn't have. The fingerprint sensor is immediate. 3D touch. IOS 11 is much different than 9.3 that I was on. It's evolved since then to have many more options and features. The only thing I really dislike about the iPhone is that I can't change the color of my keyboard unless I use Gboard but it can be kind of buggy at times on the iPhone as it doesn't always show the Gboard as my keyboard when I'm in certain different applications as it automatically reverts back to the IOS keyboard even when Gboard is enabled. It does allow me to change my keyboard to greyish black but I just stay with the IOS keyboard to keep the bugs out. Maybe one day they will allow for a little more customization. Not likely but I'd like to see it happen as time goes on. But to go back to the OPs post as a IOS guy I did go through quite a few Android phones and it's been fun but I'm ready now to go back to IOS which is what I know best. I just hope once I hook up and activated my internet Wednesday that my two lines will become available to me so that I can finally place my order. Im on the fence right now between the iPhone 7 in the Red linited edition and the space grey iPhone 8. I'm torn between the two but leaning towards the iPhone 8. If I get I will no doubt miss EMUI as I've found it to be fun to use every day. I'm just Apple by heart and I always knew switching to Android would not be forever but now I least know I like it and am partial to a few different brands like Huawei honor, Moto Z phones, Nexus 6p and or I suppose pixel now although the Nexus 6p was identical to the original pixel but it was only tweaked then Google with their greed killed off the awesome Nexus line which was an affordable flagship of pure smooth android only to make the pixel which was another Nexus 6p put their name on it and then proceed to charge double what the 6p cost. I'm sure the pixel 2 is a little better now than the 6p in all aspects but I will say that pure Android meaning Android as Google intended Android to be used without a skin was butter smooth but with that you get less features similar to IOS in that regard. The Nexus 6p did not have many extra features bc there was no skin adding them. It was just the basics but one of the smoothest phone's I have ever used. It was slightly smoother than EMUI actually. I chose EMUI as my phone of choice on the Android side bc it ran without any lag and was smooth but still offered you lots of custom features and extras. I just am bummed that they have slowly changed it to reflect to be more and more like Android. I would venture to say that EMUI in China is still very 4.1 like compared to the US version. Over there I've read that the iPhone is very very popular so a lot of Chinese companies produce their software to be much like IOS but with you being able to customize it. Like the original 4.1 having no app drawer. I liked it that way and I also liked that there was not an option for an app drawer at all. It was their own version of software which was got terrible reviews here upon it's release. I just never saw anything wrong with it. I even liked the separation of the notification pull down at the top with the colored icons in the notification bar. I still to this day use stock EMUI without a launcher which I used Nova on all my other Android phones and I still use EMUI stock without an app drawer too. I know I'm in the big minority here but that is what made EMUI different than typical Android which to me was welcomed. So many people just plained hated on EMUI and what I didn't get was how or why they were so dang closed minded instead of just embracing the change and thinking outside the box but no they complained so much that honor caved in and has changed EMUI with every major update to become closer and closer to stock Android. Too bad there is nothing now that will stop that. Of course they are going to want to please the majority of their customers who I think are very closed minded and have trouble thinking outside the box. Android or stock Android does not have to always be the same. What's wrong with variety as that was another reason I made the change over to Android to see the variety and why I went through so many different phones testing out different gear and I enjoyed it. Every skin was a little different and it was cool to learn new skins and how they worked and what they had to offer. So now I'll either stay with honor or go back to Apple. I've now tried more than enough phones. I will say that one of my favorite brands was Moto. I absolutely loved the Moto mods. I actually still want to get another Moto Z phone as I even still have a couple of Moto mods left. My favorite mod was the JBL speakers mod. It was awesome for movies, music and talking by speaker phone. It made the phone thick but I kept that mod on my Moto Z play 75 percent of the time and oh that battery on the Z play is still the best on the market. I could go three days on one charge and 5 days if I had the Moto mod battery pack on it. Had I had enough to spend this time around I was actually going to get the Z play again over the honor 8 but the Z play at the time was $399 then I saw for about a week it hit a huge sale at Best buy down to only $279. I was like just my luck after I had bought the honor 8 and already invested into it. It was too late and I didn't have the time to to send it back for a refund and catch that huge sale best buy had on the Z play. I'm not sure if any of you ever owned any of the Moto Z phones but I've owned all of them and what I liked the most was the style back shells so you could change the look and color of your phone up every day with a variety of different back shell mods. So I still very much like Moto and their skin was very light almost giving you pure vanilla Android. If any of you ever change from the honor I highly recommend the Moto Z phones. The Moto mods are a blast to use. The projector mod allows you to just put it on and it automatically recognizes it and you can watch up to a 50 inch TV screen against a blank wall and watch a movie. The mods aren't cheap. By far though that JBL mod was the best. It was an amazing speaker and you didn't have to use an external Bluetooth speaker anymore when you had it on your phone. What's cool is how easy it was to change them out. You just slap it on and you're good to go with it. Honor and Moto I've found to be my two favorite Android experiences.

I think that you should keep the honor 8 regardless. I think that if you sold it that you would get the yearning later and re buy it.

That's a ton of phones. I'm jealous!

Did not you have an iPhone 7 before?

Yeah. Count the same phone more than once.
I've had quite a few then if you count the same phone over again but those days have come to a close now. Time to settle down with one and use it long term. Whether it's the honor 8 or iPhone 8 I won't know until Wednesday. Honestly I'm hoping the iPhone 8 works out as I've been wanting to swap back over to IOS which is what I know best and used for so many years. They are just so expensive but I guess the financing helps plus the $500 gift card that I can use towards paying the phone off. Just have to see how it goes on Wednesday now whether I get it or not. If I don't then I'll stay with my honor long term as I like it too.

Yeah $500 off is a sweet deal. I would take it provided the terms are favorable
