I got my Xoom upgraded to 4G, who else got there's?

Don't forget us when you are gone from this thread...hehe ;)

I have a lot of empathy for those in this situation. I'm really hoping that they can get caught up and that those doing the upgrade after us will have a much smoother experience. We were just...unlucky. Yea, that's it. :)

Holy snikes. My order was just picked up and is in route! It will actually be here tomorrow!!!! I'm so happy!!!! Moto no longer has possession of my Xoom. Best...day...ever. LOL! :D

Congrats, my status hasn't changed. I have a tracking number but, it's still not in the FedEx system.

SIGH. Come on, Moto, keep the process going here. Don't make this one of those things where a few lucky people (myself) get theirs back and everyone else gets screwed. :(

Haha! I copied the tracking number and, pasted it on the actual FedEX site. It said that that it was picked up and, will arrive tomorrow by 10:30 AM. I'm happy now, even though I was trying to act like I wasn't worried, I was started to worry some.

HAHAH, nice. Congrats :) And.....good......job......Moto. cough cough. That was hard to say. :)

I hate to say it but the only thing i see possibly improving is the standard answer the phone jockeys give people when they call in.

Others have said it i think already: Monday seems to be the cutoff day for Xooms to get processed that week and shipped the next week. I mailed mine on a Monday, FedEx confirmed delivery on Tuesday, Motorola acknowledged receipt on Wednesday, completed the upgrade and shipped today. It sounds like batch processing to me. If it is (and the sudden simultaneous update of RMAs last night suggests it strongly) they won't change the process. The process is working. They are not doing the upgrade on a "as they come in" basis definitely.

What will change is the communication. I suspect people following will start to hear the words "scheduled batch" when calling in. "Your Xoom is in the batch scheduled to complete this week" etc.

The "lucky few" that you see here on AC. Everyone going through the upgrade process isn't reporting their status here. Could be 1000+ Xooms getting shipped out today and we'd never know because the rest of the people getting theirs don't come here.

Or they have more patience ;)

Wish that was the case here :( I've got my email tracked on FedEx site, so doesn't matter how I get there, still stuck.

That's an improvement in the process IMO. The not knowing what was going on is what was aggravating. So if they improve that part, then it's a good improvement.

Hmm actually after I sent that, I tracked by REFERENCE and used my RMA number and my Zip, sure enough 2 shipments... one is the original stalled. The second one DID go out today, and now for the customer number, has my MEID so it's definitely me. Interesting as the tracking info for reference and PO looks totally different than the original one from last week. Makes me wonder if they DID have to go back thru all of them... Now I'm feeling a bit better, just wish Motorola's site would have told me

I hope Paul (and others) are in the same boat... as Moto's www site is still wrong, went out a few hours ago and no emails yet, and the FedEx page has some other reference number I've never seen before.

This is exactly what I'm talking about when I say there's room for improvement in their process. I'm not concerned about the amount of time the upgrade has taken. That's fine. What isn't fine is exactly this. Inconsistent, wrong, missing, etc....info. I've not gotten an email yet, either. I suspect we'll get those (in another batch process) later tonight. It's just not efficient in terms of info management. Let's put it a different way...

9/29: Order box
10/3: Box arrives
10/3: Ship out Xoom
10/4: Xoom arrives
10/5: Upgrade complete

So far, that's good. And that's how the beginning went except that I didn't know until *LATE* on 10/6 that the upgrade was complete. ALL they had to do was what someone suggested....

10/6: Status changed to shipment pending, *expected* 10/11

Would we have been mad? Probably, tbh, as that's a long time between completion and shipping, BUT, at least we'd have known and the expectation would have been set. And as long as they set it to EXPECTED shipping 10/11, then if they miss that date for whatever reason...not a huge deal. You'd still get upset people, but, at least they'd be INFORMED upset people. :D

Their tracking site is very messed up. I clicked the tracking number on the Moto site, which directed me to a FedEx site that said it had no info. I then copied the tracking number from that site, clicked "track more shipments" and, pasted the tracking number on the other FedEx page. I did this yesterday and, got nothing. Today I decided to try it one more time and, wala! it showed it being picked up with a estimated delivery of tomorrow. The original way still shows nothing.

I just checked mine again and it has left FedEx's SCHAUMBURG processing center and is.....IN TRANSIT. Definitely a good feeling. And quite honestly, the turn around time wasn't horrible here. Monday to the following Wednesday. That's not GREAT, and not within their self imposed 5 business days, but, still, it could have ended up being worse. Congrats to all who are finally finding their shipping info. FINALLY.

Congrats. Still no word on what the hell is going on with mine.

But I have a beautiful new Samsung Galaxy that is 4G LTE out of the box.

Yikes. So I take it um, when, you get it back you'll be selling it?

Exactly. I'm through with Motorola and their games. They treat their customers like feces.

A professional company would have been prepared to handle an upgrade of this nature.

Well, I hope you enjoy the new tablet and here's hoping you get the Xoom back quickly so you can sell it. Good luck!!
