I got the update!

LOL!!!!! Random reboot after the update while re-installing apps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME!!!
Guess we will see how long this TB sticks around if they can't fix this SH IT!

Going to have to take a hard look at the Bionic when it comes out I think.

We need more input about the free hotspot (well, I do) :) Only one person says that it still works after this update. Anyone else as lucky as him/her?

I clicked on the icon and got this message:

[WARNING]

If you would like to subscribe to Mobile Hotspot/Mobile Broadband Connect, call:
Customer: (800) 256-4646
Business: (800) 899-4249

[OK]

I didn't click OK.

Just got the update installed in Western Washington. Everything seems to be functioning fine. I have had the phone for 8 days now.

Updating in Sacramento. Wasn't automatically prompted for it but I checked for it and it was there. Downloaded, installed and waiting for it to finish.

Do I need to back everything up (contacts, apps, etc) like I did before the last update? My contacts were a mess after MR1 update.

Good question, let me check......................NOPE, my contacts and apps are all good.

I am confused... there is no need to re-install any apps after the update. this update does not wipe the phone. So you are either lying or doing something really wrong.

Yes, I was hoping that was the case. But upon reboot, full download is required again. Still rocking same firmware. :-\

p.s. - update is going slooooooooooow over 3g.

Yes it did the same for me. Like I said its part of the process. It rebootes a couple of times and continues ...

I have had this phone for about one week not one reboot or any issues at all. Received the update tonight and find everything a little quicker. After reading all the hate mail I thought I would be very unhappy with the phone. I still have a T-Mobile contract and have every great phone in T-Mobile's network. Still have my Nexus One rooted of course, G2, MyTouch 4G and the Sensation, love this new Sensation. Bought the Thunderbolt to jump on their all data plan before it was too late. Must say I really like the Thunderbolt. I can honestly say I have not one issue with the phone. :D

Not sure if anyone had this problem or not, but i'm trying to check for the update, but it says its checking for update then just goes back to the menu. Tried rebooting the phone but it just goes back to the menu screen. Not even a box saying no update available. In Atlanta, GA here.

Why would you have to reinstall your apps?
