I hate lollipop 5.1

Got my new LG G4 free off AC. Thank you James.
I cannot set my own ringtones, when I do it goes back to stock tone.
I cannot set my own sms tone, it goes back to stock. (I can only set it through Chomp sms) then sometimes it goes back to stock tone.
I set a lock screen picture, it jumps back to stock. It's really annoying, and it's been bugging me for a week. Whatever I set goes back to stock. I'll be glad when this bug is fixed. No trouble whatsoever with LG G3 kit kat 4.4... Grrrr

What format are you saving your tones in?? I have clips from some house tracks that I've made in the past that work for me. All my personal clips work for me.

I haven't played around with the ring tones but I've changed the backgrounds on both the lock screen and home screen, and they've stuck through several reboots.

Huh? H815 here and no problems with what you describe.

Loving G4 with 5.1 much more than the sketchy 5.01 on myT-Mobile branded G3.

I use m4a and cut it down to 30-40 seconds.

That is very strange! Check and make sure there isn't something in your card that may be conflicting with your G4. Try making some new tones and see if you're able to assign them or not. The only thing that I can absolutely confirm is that I can't assign different tones (stock or personal) to individual people. Otherwise, I am able to assign my own personal tones to phone or SMS.

I have the same problems that you mentioned. The battery is failing all of the time, where it used to be good for about 2-3 days. Also the wireless seems to drop or not connect at all. All very weird "upgrades". I am not so tech savvy as others, however I came across this post on craigs list. (you can do a search on Craig's List Boston for "lollipop" or just send me a private message) I paid this person $30. I am back to KitKat and couldn't be happier. I was going crazy with Lollipop. She was awesome at downgrading Lollipop to KitKat for me. Hope this helps you guys.

Since this phone never originally came with Kitkat and as far as I'm aware it's not even fully unlocked or rooted yet for any model number you may want to check the about phone tab in settings under general. It sounds like you paid someone to put a launcher that looks like Kitkat on your phone.

Edit: correction maybe the H815 is but then you'd need a dev to create a KitKat rom for it.

I haven't had any issues with the T-Mobile version yet. Most issues I've seen posted here I have not been able to reproduce. And this one is definitely up there on the weird list. Good luck finding a solution, OP!

Uh your g3 was problem free but because you got a totally free g4 from AC you will never own a LG phone... If you don't want your g4... Please send it to me... I will gladly take it off your hands and pay for the shipping cost

You got a dud. When producing anything in mass there will be duds. So you are going to let year(s) of a flawless device tarnish your view of LG because you got a manufacturing defect which is present in every product ever produced since man starting producing products?
