I have been using BlackBerry Priv for about six months. I am fairly pleased with it BUT since I moved to Android from BB10, I have found that my data usage seems have gone through the roof.
The biggest change in usage is my banking app, but other than that my usage has stayed much the same. On my BB Q10, I would use about 400Mb per month, but with my Android phone I seem to be using twice that. I have turned off as many background running apps as I can find – despite it telling me to the contrary, I don’t need Google location services, as I don’t need a history of the places I’ve visited, and I know how to get to work and back.
My emails sync every thirty minutes, the volumes are low and attachments even lower. I use one message app – WhatsApp – don’t use anti-social media such as Facebook, LinkedIn.
I just need to know where to look to make sure I haven’t missed anything. Advice welcome.
