I have a Nexus 4, you have questions. Fire away.

Yep. That's how you take it off.

You should definitely include this in your review. Somebody in some big tech site (thever..) mishandled his nexus and broke the rear panel, and started writing how fragile the back is.
So it is very good for buyers to know that they can easily replace the back glass if it happens to break.
By the way when does the win a nexus 4 go live? Coz ave been ranting how Google does not ship to my country bla bla bla....and I want to throw my dice in :) :D

But the back also has some electronics in it.

Could you give us a quick comment on how you find the battery life so far.

Hi Phil,
1. How about fingerprint on the back?!
2. How is the speaker?!
3. Have you tried the wireless charger!? How long does it take for a full charge?!
Thanks!

Is there any lag in the main OS?

It's important to remember that we've got a prerelease build here. I have no idea if there are UI bugs that might cause lag. Other than a couple little hiccups -- and not consistant ones -- it's as fast as the UI on the GNex. No reason it shouldn't be.

Regardless, asking about "lag in the main OS" is really too broad. Of course it's not slow. Use Jelly Bean on any other current phone? It's that fast.

A lot more on that in the podcast we published last night. But I haven't had any big complaints so far. (Network signal, as always, affects that greatly.)

I know nothing about Android, but people always say the os lags and stutters. So I want the opinion of a real Android user instead of Windows/Iphone fanboys. I don't mind a little lag though, I just want something that just works =).

Is it possible to not have your G+ profile picture on the quick settings menu? (Well excluding not using Google+ at all)

OS lag was a thing of the past. With "project butter" Google really stepped up their game and Jelly Bean is very smooth.

Some people that reviewed it had a generic/blank image there if they didn't have a picture. But I don't know if you can completely remove it.

any news on 4.2 (for the galaxy nexus hopefully!) or the Nexus 4 having avrcp 1.3 or 1.4?

specifically looking for meta data being displayed on a cars stereo over bluetooth

Hey Phil!

Have you checked this out yet? Is the question unclear? If so let me know and I will elaborate.

Thanks!

Matt

Hi Phil. Thanks for doing this. A lot of the reviews so far have been a bit inconsistent in regards to battery life. On top of that, they're suggesting some poor performance and overheating issues which is a bit concerning. I know benchmarks aren't anything (they're significantly lower that the Optimus G), but it appears to be having an effect - Chrome appears to lag quite a bit, and is of course the default browser. Can you give us any pre-review indications of whether this has been an issue for you? Thanks.

I'll love to win one also. This month is my sisters birthday and since she as the only person who could buy it online I had to blatantly say to her. I can't buy you a present because I want to get the new Nexus sorry. (Even worst is that my phone works perfectly fine while hers is dying) I would love to buy one and gift one to her =D.

Yep. That's what I've got in this review unit.

Phil one follow up question to you using the Google Play version on TMobile. I heard that the Google Play version can't take advantage of HSPA+42 and only works on HSPA+21. Is this true? Have you noticed a difference in download speeds between your HTC One S and the Nexus 4?
