Hi Everyone,

I'm on Verizon today. I travel between the US and UK often. Today I have a Motorola Droid PRO which is a world phone and has both CDMA and GSM. It's a 3G phone. I've had it long enough that Verizon has unlocked it. When I go to the UK I have a SIM on 3UK and it works fine.

So my question is: I want to get a new phone. I know the Nexus-4 does not have LTE but neither does my Droid PRO. Does the Nexus-4 have both CDMA and GSM?

So I'm wondering can I just take my Verizon SIM out of my Droid PRO and pop it in a Nexus-4 and it will work?

Let me know what you think?

The nexus 4 is still only available with gsm service as of June 2013.

OK that answers my question.
So what is the next best thing to a Nexus-4 phone with GSM, CDMA and LTE?

Thanks,
Bob

Isn't there a hack to enable LTE? Software update will disable the hack, nonetheless one exists.

Sorry, I mean gsm only as opposed to CDMA.

My nexus 4 doesnt show up as a driver on my computer. Anybody know how it can be shown as a driver?
The usb driver should install when you plug it in. But sometimes you need to turn on usb debugging on the phone. If you are stuck you can try the Air Droid app in the play store. Works great. No cable needed.

I tried usb debugging but its still not showing up as a usb driver. Im trying to recover my photo album that i accidentally deleted.

I have just received my lovely, shiny Nexus 4, but I can't work out where my app data is. I have an app that allows you to transfer the user data from one device to another by transferring a file into the app data of the new device, but I can't find where to put the file, I can't find anything at all to do with apps when I connect the handset to my laptop, all I get is:

Internal Storage -
- Alarms
- Android
- DCIM
- Download
- Movies
- Music
- Notifications
- Pictures
- Podcasts
- Ringtones

I have looked in all the folders just in case app data was hiding in one of them, but I can't find any of my apps at all, and since there is no SD card they must be on there somewhere right?

Please help!

Hi everyone,

I didn't knew where to ask and I thought that what I want to know is related by processor.
So, I saw that the Nexus 4, at least mine, it has his processor with only two cores active and two are stopped. It's ok in this way?, does anyone know why he hasn't all four cores active?, same as we have at the PCs, for example.

Thx.

I have a folder called data in my list when I plug it in. Can you be more specific about which apps you are using and what you are trying to accomplish?
