From what I have read, you will get charged when you first order the pixel. Then it will disappear. When it is ready to ship, you will get charged again! I can't confirm but this is what I understood from reading the forum

It can be frustrating but this happen to note 7, iPhone, etc. Users as well. You have to get it in right away since companies only plan for so much.

I feel you. Honestly Google should have launched this phone with one side 64 gigabyte and then introduced bigger and smaller options post launch it would have probably alleviated a lot of the stock problem since they would have only had one variation to make

I got order in at 3 1/2 hours after open and I just went to process this afternoon.

This also happened with the HTC M10... I preordered as soon as it was available and got pushed to weeks after the launch date... It did end up shipping before my reported arrival date, so one can hope that the current are extended estimated dates. Currently I sit at the 11/18-11/21 dates.

Unfortunately preordering seems to be a crap shoot some of the time. Because of this I'd just prefer to wait till I can actually get some play time with one before walking out with it if I decide I like it well enough.
Google seems to have F'd this whole process up tho, no doubt.

I've been on this forum for a long long time, I've seen all the pre-order situations, and been part of many. This happens OFTEN. Google is no worse than any of the other companies - wait time is to be expected with a brand new device.. It's just par for the course.

I'll have to say that most of the time I've preordered, it's been a wait. I remember waiting for my HTC incredible for almost 6 weeks.

I ordered mine Oct 15 shipped Oct 21 got it Oct 25. It said wasn't going to come till early November. Sometimes if you have Google luck you get it sooner. But the XL is selling fast. I got the 5in pixel. I had the Nexus 6 for two years. I'll try a small screen phone not like I sacrifice specs at all. Just screen and battery. (battery for the smaller brother still great). Happy the Google made it that way you don't feel left out with smaller pixel. Hope you all get your phone and enjoy it.
