I LOVE my Nexus (sarcasm) - complaint thread

Yeah maybe 3 would have been the charm. LOL I don't blame you for giving up.

My fear is that if I have to exchange my phone I might get one that's worse than the one I'm returning!!!! If it turns out that one of the updates magically fixes everyone's issues I will feel better about the GN but right now it's appears to be a crapshoot as to what you will get. It could be the good one, the battery eater, the mic check, the rebooter, the google music edition, the distorter, the screecher, the data dropper, etc. or some combination. :D

Good thinking, if you have a good one, KEEP it! Ha ha. Have. Good day.....

LOL! My first was a distorter, a screecher, a call dropper and a data dropper. Second one is a screecher and a data/call dropper.

LOL, well count me as one of the 'whiners' who fell out of love with this phone. My 4G radio went kaput, I went from getting strong 4G at home and at the office to *poof* only 3G service. Im reading -76dB at home and -83dB at the office but no dice. Customer service was useless and since I'm still in my 14 day window the phone is going back to them.

I agree that there are phones with issues. but i have owned a HTC Desire and now have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and have had zero problems with either phone and have found very few people who complain about these devices. i opted to get sgs2 over the Gnex for this very reason. i have always opted to go with tried and tested over the latest part of the Android curve and it sounds like some of these people should have as well.

There are threads like this all over every droid or verizon forum out there- and I know some may not take notice, but there are threads like this for just about every Android phone out there. IF you look around the motorola forums, there are major issues with the Bionic and Razr, Thunderbolt, etc and they are still running Gingerbread, the OS thats been around for over a year now! My point being: there is no perfect Android phone yet, and every phone out there reports users having problems-so if you switch, it may not solve your problems. I own a Bionic and bought a NExus and I can tell you there are many users on the Moto forums reporting some of the same, exact issues reported here. I think I can honestly say they are trying to make it better-updates come, but they must first be tested to ensure they work and fix the issue.
I know its frustrating when your phone doesnt work and I totally understand that feeling-but they're not perfect. I really just wanted to say that phone problems are everywhere, across all platforms and different makers.

Yea... I think when comparing issues between phones....you can tell whats more specific to that phone. There arent many Rezound or RAZR owners or threads complaining about call quality issues. Data issues....every LTE phone on Verizon can have it. I have noticed it on the Rezound, RAZR and G Nex personally.

The difference with all these phone is the severity of issues.

Reception strength... since we cant go by decibels anymore thanks to the G Nex...all we can go by is real world use. Which is what we all should do anyway.

When you say major issues with those other phones....depends on what you consider major. I dont have a Bionic and T Bolt but do have a RAZR...and I dont see what major issues you are talking about. Something like not using Smart Actions may make data connections more stable on the RAZR....at the expense of not using it to help with battery life. Battery life complaints is a common theme among every Android phone. I just dont see major issues on RAZR forums concerning the phone. Battery life is pretty decent on it too. Since we know from articles that Verizon's LTE network is the blame for some data issues....one could say the T Bolt and Bionic were victims of coming out too soon as far as data issues. Yea...every LTE phone on Verizon can have data issues. The difference is the severity of the issue.

And I dont see too many call quality complaints on RAZR and Rezound forums...like the mic cutting out, or dropping calls. But yea...all these phones can have issues. No phone if perfect. Whoever thought the G Nex was or is perfect....is seriously delusional. There is no best phone on the market...just whats the best for you. I have a Rezound and have yet to root it. Had it since 1-14. I also have a RAZR, Droid 1 and Droid X1. And I had a G Nex for 10-11 days. So we all dont get these phones for same reasons. Wants n needs....wants n needs....

While the vast majority of Gnex owners have stated they do not have issues with their phones as well. It is a minority of rather vocal people who have the problems.

Like you, constantly complaining about your Xoom and Bionic in other forums? Maybe I should look up all the posts you complain about the Xoom in and make a reply telling you you're wrong and it's only happening to you and you're a whiner.

Go right ahead. I'm flattered that you've taken the time to check out my posts, especially your short time being a participant in these forums.

No, he didn't. You just decided to read it that way.

As an uninterested bystander, his post did come off as "I've posted more, so my opinion matters more or is more justified."

I'm not getting into the fight about this phone. I know some people have issues and some don't. I didn't have many problems when I had it. And I still think it is overall a fantastic phone.

But I just read his comment, it wasn't about me, but I thought I needed to chime in and say that I took it that way too.

That is not what the post says, or its intention.

Then you shouldn't have said anything.

Well it did come off as that way, as does the post you made in comment to mine.

I'm not sure exactly what entitles you to treat people in the demeanor you do in these forums, but if this is how you act in public when you're not hiding behind your computer, I'm sure there are many lonely 1 man parties attended by you.

I'm yet to see very little but disdain from you in this forum, and please enlighten me as to what justifies your actions.
