I need help with my new droid razor!!

Ok I just updated my phone after I got it and I dont know how to get the widgets I have tried everything and still can not seem to find them and then I was trying to move my favorites at the top of my screen and put them in the remove spot and not they are gone and I am not sure how to put them back up there please help me
