I have been going back and forth one getting the Moto X or the Note 4. I have a Note 2 which has been a good performer. Contract is up next month and I developed a case of "I am sick of my phone". Although it is slowing down and no matter how many fart apps I delete, nothing helps. Battery only lasts about 12 hours which is two less then it did two years ago. Although I have a spare new battery, I don't want to make the phone perform better otherwise I can't justify getting something new. My wife says I have the sickness bad when I complain about 12 hour battery life as she is plugging her new I-phone 5S into the charger after five hours of use.
So, I am thinking I need to move to the Moto X . I am seriously annoyed with (and always have been) my smartphone being lousy at what is important to me. One being a phone that isn't a pain in the a$$ to place a call. Two; not having to scroll through three screens just to reply to a text or return a call. I hate being notified of a text message on the lock screen but it doesn't say who its from or the message. Chalk one up for Apple for at least getting that right. I also want a phone that will pair with my Honda. The previous gen MotoX did so I am guessing this one will. Last being a major plus for me is the always listening feature of the the MototX. I really like Google voice but I rarely use it because it requires more effort to get to google voice then it is to just do it manually on the phone. Yes I know you can double tap the home button to get google to pop up but I turned it off because it causes performance issues.
I am afraid the Note 4 will have to many BS features on it. My wife ran through two Galaxy S5's which had to be returned due to lock up issues. Which I believe was because all the bling features. I really don't want to get into phone that has a bunch of sh!t I will never use and be constantly wondering why it can read my heart rate, but can't return a missed call with any ease.
