I tried an iPhone 6 Plus but back to my Nexus 5

It's less and less about the device, more and more about the ecosystem. I love that iPhone, but I'd have to add Google Maps, Google Drive, Gmail, Google Play Music, etc. while the Apple factory apps sit there as dead weight. Via Google, my Nexus 5 and a PC work seamlessly together at less than half the price.

My Nexus 4 has a bad battery life and has a bad camera and it doesn't work well with my mac and it's getting old as well otherwise I would have been content with it.

You don't think all those issues are because the N4 is, what, 3 years old now?

Not saying the iPhone 6/6+ aren't great devices but I think just about all the top end devices, Android or iOS, would solve your issues...

except the "working with my mac" part....maybe.

I don't think so. Nexus 6 too big, S5 uses Touchwiz, M8 has bad camera, Sony phones are just meh, I don't want the OnePlusOne, the Note 4 again TW.

Also I if I stick with Android again, as mentioned, I won't have access to the 400 dollars worth of app and music purchases made in the iTunes stores. If I had started out with Google as my ecosystem then I probably would have stayed with Android.

Isn't the Nexus 6 just as big as the 6+...? Those bezels on the 6+ are huge.

Investments in an ecosystem and the compliance with other devices in your life definitely makes sense...Apple and all their restrictions on how you can use "YOUR" device is what originally pushed me to Android back in the 3G days, obviously it's not an issue most have and I'm sure there are better work arounds now than there were back then...but F'n-A, all I wanted to do was put a bunch of .pdf and excel work files on the GB's, and it was impossible!

but I digress....float your boat bro, float your boat;)

Ah crap, I see the confusion. I'll be getting the normal 6. iCloud has made PDF transfer very easy now...

Yeah I like the customizations but don't find them to be essential.

I don't know about apps, but I do know you can import your music purchased thru itunes, into Google Music.

Some of us do like customizations that much. (part of the reason I love linux)

IOS seems too structured and basic to me. And yes, I've used IOS for long enough to to form an opinion.

But then again, I've always been a rebel and gone against the grain.

Yeah I already have. Love having GPM syncing seamlessly. I've had my music sync over but damn those apps...

Unfortunately clouds are dependent on a data signal and it seems that at least half the time when I really need those files I'm somewhere with ****ty reception....someday, I hope

I want back to a 6 plus after shattering my nexus screen. Wasn't sold on the nexus 6 at that price.

I am using iPhone 6+ as my daily driver right now. Unlocked version. I have not bought an iPhone since returning my iPhone 4 after antenna gate. Been with android since but always said I would try it again once the screen got bigger. Just getting used to the size and although iPhone really is more boring, it performs well. It is also easy to get google apps on it so not so bad. Gmail, Maps, Chrome, Wallet, you tube, and I can use my google calendar with the calendar app.

I am getting used to the size and I am glad I tried it because I had dismissed the Nexus 6 initially, due to size but it is really not that much bigger than my iPhone 6+, so I am now looking to get the new Nexus 6 too provided the reviews are what I expect them to be! Returned my Moto X 2014 to get ready for the Nexus 6.

Some things I like about the iPhone 6+ are:

More options for text size etc, especially on the iMessages and email apps. iMessage is pretty cool. Seems like 80-90% of people I text have an iPhone so iMessage is pretty neat. I also like touch id which makes unlocking a breeze as well as buying apps and ordering on Amazon etc. Interested in trying Apple Pay next week as a long time Google Wallet user. I also like the quick controls screen flicking up from the bottom versus pull it down from the top like android. And finally the camera is just so easy and pretty good. Nofuss no muss, it just takes good pictures and videos and it is so easy to send them via iMessage. Reception is superior to nexus 5 and earpiece volume is as good or better.

Having said all that I am looking forward to welcoming the Nexus 6 into my collection!
