Verizon said no such thing, an employee put out a tweet saying that if I remember correctly. I think they even said they weren't speaking for Verizon or something to that effect.

Overreaction of the month It's still early August, it's only the 3rd after all.

If you are hankering too much, root your phone. You can always go back once the OTA does. That is a quick fix.

Don't forget that Verizon is well known for delaying updates until they are satisfied with the whole update. I prefer this approach since phones often don't get regular patches like a computer OS does.

I'd rather wait an extra few weeks than live with some goofy bug for the lifetime of the phone. I suspect this will be the last update to the Incredible overall, let's wait for a good one.

Have patience and we will once again have the best phone on the market. I love the Incredible.
