Icons burned onto screen

Those bottom icons where the app icon sits? Those are burned onto my screen.

I work from home and have my phone sitting here where I use it for everything from music to calculator to whatever. The screen changes but those bottom icons don't. Over the past two years, I guess I've had it on a lot like that 'cause now they are there all the time.

Is this covered under the "Total Protection"? Or am I screwed?

I also have the mysterious audio plug issue that has never been resolved and the phone is about to be either exchanged or upgraded anyway. Just wondering if I can use the policy I pay for each month.

edited to add: By burned I mean shadowed. You can see the outline of them but not the color.

That's screen burn-in, and AMOLED screens are more prone to it.

What Total Protection are you referring to? Is this a Samsung plan, or a wireless carrier protection plan? Have you read the fine print of the material that presumably came with it?

What mysterious audio plug issue are you talking about?
