ICS broke my wi-fi

Received the ICS update on my Razr this morning and now I have no wifi at all.

Nothing happens when I scan for networks. When I manually connect to my home network, nothing happens.

Just FYI for anyone else waiting for the update, the data connection (4g/3g) is very spotty now like it was when I first bought my Razr back in December before a few gingerbread updates. The data will go off for awhile and then come back on...really sucks.

but for now, I'd like to get this thing to scan for networks and detect wifi. I'll deal with the spotty data connection later.

Any suggestions?

Maybe you live in a bad data area? I haven't had any data drops at all. In fact my signal has rarely gone below 4 bars. And my wifi works perfect too. Maybe try resetting your router?

I live in Washington DC...I would think this area would be among the strongest for data. Always good reception/signal..when the data doesn't just cut off.

I reset my router and it didn't help. Rebooted my phone a million times..hard and soft reset.

WiFi may be an issue with the build, but who knows. As for carriers, I don't think data is at full capacity - it's jacked all over NoVA due to the storm.

Hi, I hope you have tried everything from switching Airplane mode on/off or rebooting the phone or Factory resetting this. There could be a number of issues. Before trying a factory reset or anything though, please let us know if you are able to scan and see ur wifi network or any other wifi network for that matter. And this could also be a radio issue. Upgrading the firmware, updates the baseband and this "might" be a reason. So will wait for ur reply.. if u have not managed to fix it yet.. Cheers

Yeah, my friend, John Wesley Harding, had his gig at Jammin' Java canceled tonight because of power issues.

Strange. I haven't had issues with wifi, and this is the first post that I've seen with data or wifi issues.

Hi, not able to see any networks. When I select "scan" it doesn't do anything and no networks pop up at all.
Only thing left I can thing of is the factory reset, which I REALLY don't want to do.

UPDATE

I talked with Verizon support today and they went through the usual steps to resolve issues on the phone, including a complete erase/reset of the handset (Grrrr!!) but could not figure out why my phone was not able to detect any wi-fi. Sent me a replacement handset. Hopefully it comes with ICS...if not, we'll see if I have the same issue after the update again.
