ICS in June!

As far as I knew every ICS ROM for this phone was broken in some way because of the proprietary camera drivers. Can you link to a tutorial for dummies and ROM that has absolutely zero compromise to the 4G radio and 3D camera?

Idk about 3d because I never use it but the 4g was fine. I'm back on gingerbread using zr3d 4.1 just because this Rom is amazing. But most of the recently updated ics roms work fine.

I installed cleanrom. All seems to work OK except that I can not switch to the front facing camera. It inverts the rear camera instead.

I just tried it and mine just switches to the front facing camera like it should. The only problem I am having is that my folder icons are skewed on the lock screen.

If someone can point me to a 100% stable ICS (as stable as stock) rom with everything working like stock (3D,4G) I'd root but I don't think anyone can. I'm a student and I don't have time to be messing about with a phone. It just has to work, all the time.

Exactly. That is why I'm waiting for the official update for the Evo 3d. I prefer perfection over imperfection. This is why I don't root any of my device.

I understand what you're saying and it's a fair point, but I don't think "perfection" is the right word to you. Maybe "stability" or "functionality" instead. If you try out some of the good ROMs out there, you'll realize that stock Sense is far from perfect. That's not to say that it's bad. It's fine, but it's not perfect. It has it's flaws just like anything else. (Sorry, not trying to argue over symantics. Just trying to make the point that stock Sense is not perfection.)

By perfection, I think he means Wimax works, 3D camera works and front facing camera works.

I think the benefits of rooting compared to stock completely out way each other. You can do so much more being rooted and there are quite a few roms that are more perfect than any stock Rom could ever be.

Ditto! I am just burnt out trying to find the perfect OS . I've been there done that with my blackberries. I will wait patiently for ATT to release ics for the note,

I use sos m,mik virgin, zr3dx, I still think zr3d 4.1 is the best rom out but that's a gingerbread rom.

With usable 4G and camera?

The only issue I see is there is no 4g icon! The 4g works fine and you just need a toggle widget but camera is fine camcorder is working also.

Personally I still like gingerbread roms better. Well at least zr3d but ics roms are clearly more efficient in every way possible.

Personally HTC could suddenly announce the 3VO will never get ICS and it wouldn't affect me in the least. Not gonna bother rooting either.
