If 32GB Nexus 7 is released, what about us 16GB Nexus users?

Drop the 8 GB and go $229 and $269 and bring back the $25 app credit.

I wonder if I can get a $350 credit from Sony since the PS3 is only $250 now. I bought mine when it was $600 at launch.

I mean come on.

Man some people are ridiculous.

Many of us got 25 dollars back in Google Play purchasing power as a courtesy for being an early adopter of the tablet.
You also got 10 dollars loaded up with Google Wallet to use anywhere there's a PayPass machine.

That's 35 dollars back on your purchase that Google gave you as a gift, to say thank you for using our products. They didn't need to do that, but they did.

And now some of you feel that Google owes you MORE, because they have plans to release a 32 GB version that is rumored to be the same price?

Insane.

If it comes with 32 gb of storage for $250 then I might get one.

Well better sell your 16gb now or you wont be able to get as much out of it if/when the 32gb is out at the same price.

If the rumor is true that the new 32GB Nexus 7 is priced the same as the 16GB model, what do you think they will do about us? Will they give us a free upgrade or something? More realistically, a gift card?

Nothing.

And they shouldn't give you anything.

I don't expect anyghing from Google. I bought the 16GB model knowing it was a 16GB model. There is no future-proof electronic equipment. All I know is I'm darn happy with my Nexux 7!!!!

"If 32GB Nexus 7 is released, what about us 16GB Nexus users?"

Then you will still have the same 16GB Nexus 7 you bought in the first place...........Wait, you did know it was 16GB right? Like you went to the store and saw 8GB and 16GB and you picked one and paid for it on your own free will right? Like others have said you already got $35 back, I know it can suck sometimes and I hate feeling that way, which is why I don't feel the need to go out and buy something as soon as it hits the shelves. I like to read reviews and let the kinks get worked out. It's a chance you take when you are one of the first to buy a new product.

The entitlement mentality of some people just amazes me.

"They didn't sell exactly what I wanted in the first place, but I bought it anyway, so now give me something for free, since they're finally going to sell what I really want."

Amazing.

I still have a Playstation 1, still waiting on Sony to send me a 2 and 3. I can't believe they moved ahead with their products without asking me if it was okay or giving me a refund/new toy.

I wouldn't be so quick to jump on the 32GB bandwagon if they still had screen lift issues.

If the 32 gig version comes out for $250 I'll probably sell my 16gb on eBay and pick it up. It is silly to expect google to give us something

THIS!!!! I first noticed how spoiled and bratty the moochers were when Microsoft updated the Xbox 360 to have HDMI. The punks were howling about how they were owed new Xboxes because the original model - which was released before the HDMI spec had been finalized, thus it's non-inclusion - and they wanted a replacements because theirs were "defective" and "we need to start a class-action suit" and blah-blah-woof-woof. Pathetic.

It's a fact of life, ESPECIALLY IN TECH, that whatever you buy today will be succeeded by something that costs less and is more powerful and real soon. The analogy I tried to use with the Xbox crybabies was the iPod. The original iPod was 5GB and cost $400 and within five years or so, you could get an 80GB model that played back color video for $250. Under the illogic of their entitled demands, everyone with an old whatever should get free new hotness for their old busted. They surprisingly didn't catch the inference.

If you jump on any tech product the day it launches, you expose yourself to something like this happening. It's depressing to see people not suck it up and recognize that being first carries a price premium; instead whining that Google "owes" them something because things got better later. It's hard for some people to believe - especially Apple's iMoron customer base - but NO ONE HAS EVER DIED FROM NOT HAVING THE LATEST SUPERFLUOUS GIZMO THE MOMENT IT WAS AVAILABLE!! Am I annoyed that my Kindle Fire is already a paperweight compared to the Fire HD and that Amazon isn't going to update the software on it? Yeah, a little, but I'm not going to blog angry over it; it's a dick move that I'll keep in mind for future reference.

Patience saves money, sometimes a ton of it. Going first always costs more. If you're going to be on the bleeding edge of toys, be prepared to pay up and then shut the heck up about how if only you'd waited...

While I would sure love to get something for free, I don't expect it. It's just the way the world goes round, especially in the technology field. Sure you can buy the latest and greatest today and a few months later the next latest and greatest comes out. It's then YOUR decision if you want to upgrade/change at YOUR expense. Or you could always just sit and wait for a next gen device, but what's the fun in that.

I don't know about you, but I went in to a store thinking that, at the time, a 16GB tablet with a nice screen and a quad-core processor was a pretty damned good deal for two fitty, and with 25 clams back in store credit it was an awesome killer deal. I've enjoyed the heck out of my fondleslab for a month or so now, and have absolutely no regrets at being an early adopter of this fine bit of gimcrackery.

The fact that time has passed and better deals may (or may not) come to pass in the fullness of time does not mean I feel entitled to a change in the terms I agreed to. If Google releases an update that locks out 8 of my 16GB, then by hell I want $50 to "downgrade" to the 8GB model. But I've still paid $250, and I still have a 16GB fondleslab of awesomeness. Those were the terms I agreed to when I bought it, and those are the terms I accept.

I don't get it - this is electronics. Something faster, cheaper, lighter, shinier, better WILL come out in a few months, no matter what you buy and no matter what you do. This has been true since my very first computer (a Texas Instruments TI-99/4A!), which I paid for by saving up paper route money.

The only answer is to wait forever and never buy anything electronic, if the fact that something shinier and newer and probably a hell of a lot cheaper is coming soon will bother you so much.

You're not going to get anything, sorry. This is the way the world of electronics works, once you buy something there is always a better version around the corner.
