If 32GB Nexus 7 is released, what about us 16GB Nexus users?

Or you could sell yours for ~$200 and spend $50 to double your storage ...

Really, this happens with most tech.. it's just a matter of how fast...

Another way to look at it: Google quickly realized that they needed to adjust their product offerings and responded very quickly which bodes well for their future competitiveness in the tablet space...
Yeah, I know the option is there... I knew eventually they'd be offering something with a larger storage. The price and timing of the new release is what has me a little ticked off. That's just how it is. I am seriously thinking about selling it, and getting the new one, and just let it go like that. I still have a negative feeling about it though.

You'll be lucky if you get offered $150. Stuff's getting so cheap no one wants cheap used tech. My ipad3 with lte got a $400 offer on CL. And only three other low balls.

I already ran out of 16GB, that is, because of the 2GB limit which will slow the entire unit down. If I sell it for $250, I'll lose $30 I paid for extra. Well, I guess that's how it is.

The woes of being an early adopter...

I wouldn't hold my breath. Google doesn't necessarily owe you anything. Just enjoy your $200 Nexus 7, not everyone can go out and buy one.

It will not bother me at all if they release a larger capacity 7. My 8 gig is more than enough for me.

I guess this partial storage limit does save me time; I won't get addicted to any more games since I don't want to re-download 2GB every time I get tired of a certain game.

Just because you don't know how to maximize resale of tech stuff doesn't mean that no one else does... you took quite a bit less than you could have gotten...

Its been about two months for some and few weeks for others. I can understand If they charge more for a 32gb but that's not the case, its not self entitlement its criminal.

I'm a little annoyed to say the least. I would rather have the larger storage... I don't think google owes anything though. I'm surprised it's coming so soon after the launch though. Google has pretty much cemented the next time they release anything, I'll pass.

I have to agree. I'm a little annoyed and I'll be very likely to sit it out and wait 2-3 months after Google releases anything knowing they just set a precedent and can drop the price and offer a better model for the same exact price so shortly after initial release.

Mind you, I'm not pissed that they will sell a 32GB version, no sir. I'm happy about that. What I'm annoyed about is that it will retail for the same damn price I paid for my 16GB just 6 weeks ago! And Google won't refund the difference in price since I'm just over 30 days ownership. :(

Damn...

And I quote your law: "Say that you believe that you are entitled, under the Consumer Protection Act, to get the goods at the price originally agreed." Perhaps I'm missing something.

Right after I bought this Mac, it was outdated. Isn't this the norm?
How many month or weeks was the Mac released in your scenario?

Early adopters always face this issue, you know that going in. Your product will ALWAYS be replaced by something better. In this case, the product seems exactly the same except for 16GB extra storage, so it's not like you're missing out on any new features. If you purchased a 16GB Nexus 7 in the last 2 weeks you can always return or exchange it (like i did). I returned my 16GB version and will be buying the 32GB version when they go on sale in Canada.

I'm going to apologize a bit about my use of my Mac purchase as an example. I shouldn't have attempted to compare it with what is happening to the Nexus 7 right now. If I had purchased my Mac and then three weeks later, Apple had significantly reduced it's cost (It sounds like the 16GB Nexus 7 is going to dip to $200), then I too would have been pissed at Apple! Edit added at 11:45 MST.

It seems like it was about three weeks. Even if Apple had told me that a newer model was coming out in three weeks, I would have purchased it immediately since I needed a new computer for work. Now, if I went down to the local Staples store and bought a 16GB Nexus 7, and the salesperson knew the price was going to drop in a week and kept his or her mouth shut, I'd be upset.

I've been in the market for a tablet for six weeks and have been holding off for two reasons: The first is to see what the price on the iPad Mini is going to be and the second was the multiple rumors (for several weeks) that Google was bringing out the 32GB model.

I'm just about 90% certain that I'll buy the Nexus 7 on the 29th. I commensurate with those that bought a 16GB in the last few weeks but am glad I did my due diligence, or consumer research, to see what was on the near horizon.

That my friend was a fortuitus decision .... I am happy with my 16 but will likely sell it and buy a 32...

Um others a new thread on here where several nexus owners went into the store to get the 16gb and since they were out they sold them the 32gb instead. Does that mean stores have them in stock already and are just waiting for Google to officially launch them.

It's clear that at least some Staples stores have them in the back room. I called my nearest Staples stores today and they had the 16GB model available. I didn't ask about the 32GB. Sam's has them listed at $999 (Google: Sam's ASUS-1B32) and PCSuper Store has them listed at $264 but unavailable.

Unless you walk into a Staples store that is out of the 16GB model and has a manager willing the bend the rules, you are not going to get one today.

There is no question that on the 29th they will be available at least in some of the box stores.

Staples got the smackdown. No manager is going to risk getting fired to sell a Nexus 32 before the 29th now.
