If Bionic is indeed cancelled, what's your next phone?

I tried a LG G2X yesterday at T-Mobile. Great build quality and construction. Great 4G performance as well. A definite contender for my next phone!

Definitely a a very nice phone...T-Mo is unfortuantely not good in L.A (where I live at least) but I keep telling people LG is going to make a big splash on the scene

Lg nexus+verizon+tegra3=my next phone
An unlocked targa may fit the bill also. And when i say unlocked i mesn unlocked bootloader

Would the Bionic been a better phone as a single-core w/LTE(as in the Thunderbolt) or with a dual-core processor and sticking with 3G(like T-Mobile's LG G2x)? :-\

Honestly, neither of those options interest me enough to upgrade. At this point I'll wait until Verizon offers me both.

Not to my knowledge is think it's mainly speculation shoot most sources are on both sides of the fence in this some say yes some say no

i certainly hope not but its starting to feel like it might be, with the post about Verizon asking to hand in all test devices and that they phone is not being released sounds scary to me really, yet im still hanging on with hope for i want this bad boy so trying to stick it out until the end.

Next phone? Probably a GS2, but on which network remains to be seen. First to market will have a substantial advantage.

Now that I'm looking around, the GSII does seem like quite a nice phone.

Any major drawbacks that people know about with this phone? I know the main reason I was avoiding Samsung was it sounds like Touchwiz is the most annoying UI and that Samsung seemed very slow about providing upgrades to the next version of the OS. If it sounds like those are issues that might be fixed with this latest line of Galaxy phones then the GSII might be the perfect upgrade for me now that the Bionic seems dead in the water.

Still looking for info on the Targa as well to see what features it is offering. I wish HTC had a dual core for Verizon coming out.

I just know that I'm tired of my original Storm and really want to upgrade badly. This phone is just awful and I thought my wait was coming to an end with the Bionic. Definitely want a dual core phone so TB is out or else I would have bought that one.

What is the price of a one year contract with TB? At this point that might actually be the best bet. While I want a dual core, I could probably go without having one for the next year and let the tech develop some.

I got mine for 199.99 + tax for a 1 year. And to be honest the Thunderbolt is extreamly snappy and fast. I ran it next to my buddies Atrix and I could not tell the difference in core speeds. The huge difference was my LTE speed smoked his AT&T faux 4g. Waiting a generation for the dual cores to mature is not a bad idea IMHO.

As far as I know, yesterday was the last day you could do a one year contract. Only two year contracts are offered now. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I like the GS2 also- but, A) Is it really coming out in May? I have seen nothing to verify this
B) Is it 4G and global? I was hoping this is what the "g" stands for..

If it doesn't come out until June- I have to think a delayed Bionic is the better option.

Have there actually been any realistic rumors that the GSII is coming to VZW? Everything I have seen online is about the GSM variant - nothing for a CDMA/LTE variant.

Yep yesterday was the last day for 1 year contracts. Which is another strike against them in my head and with the weak phone lineup I'm almost ready to leave but I'm going to give it time and see what they do
